I've got to give the little homophobe credit for being willing to play San Francisco.

No hard feelings.

I don't feel the sly insult was nessecary because he's played here more than enough times to call it his fifth hometown. I can rest assure knowing our Org Gay posters would take up arms if said allegations ever stuck, so thank you for nothing.

Give me a break. The guy's a JW, which is completely his right and I don't begrudge him one bit for it. If you want to subscribe to some bronze age view of the world, go for it. That said, considering the JW stance on homosexuality and Prince's not too flattering comments about gays in the past few years, the homophobe label is fitting. Anyone who doesn't want to believe it is living in a fammy state of denial.

"5th hometown" lol

No hard feelings.

Let me fix that for you:

http://prince.org/msg/12/353002

You have to put url enclosed in brackets [ ] before the link, then /url with the backslash after the link, also enclosed in brackets, before posting an org thread link, to post the correct thread link. After that you may also have to "unlink" the thread link, once you put the url's in, using the icon, that looks like a thunderbolt in the tools bars, before finally posting.

Prince's view on the Homosexual lifestyle doesn't make him a homophobe. It just means he and his religion do not codone it. It is his right. Welcome 2 America

Glad Californians are gonna get some purple kool-aid. Now on to New orleans please!!..

Peace.

[Edited 2/16/11 10:13am]

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

lol True, and the scramble for CA fans to get their money ready to buy tix at such short notice. lol We'll have fun reading the reports though next week in the Concerts forum.

Orger "Serpan99" just posted in the concert forum, the tix prices for those shows:

"Tickets for the Oakland shows go on sale this Friday, February 18th at 12:00 Noon PST at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.

"Tickets are $250.00, $125.00, $75.00 and $49.50 for reserved seats plus applicable charges"

"Bigot" probably fits better than homophobe, as I doubt Prince would hide in a closet if a gay person entered his home.

As I noted, it's entirely his right to be a bigot, and to make statements like this doozy:

"“God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’"

But if people want to keep giving this bigot their money and pretending such statements don't exist, then I can't think of a better metaphor than being willing to drink the, as you phrased it, purple kool aid.

No hard feelings.

Oracle Arena isn't in San Francisco anyway. It's in Oakland. Which is full of brothas who don't like dick. So I'm sure Prince is fine.

And YAY!@!! Time for me to get my Prince on, ya'll.

Also- what's up with this?

US $49.50 Ticket + US $327.50 Fees =
US $377.00

US $250.00 Ticket + US $327.50 Fees =
US $577.50

What the hell is with the $327 fee? Is that to pay for Prince's lawsuit?

In CA people make more money, maybe that's why he charges too much. Or maybe Prince got pissed at people who were bitching about 200 dollar tickets, which was actually a good price for what we got from his shows. Ugly Clay Aiken charges like 160 dollars, JBJ charge 300 dollars@ Mohegan(or Foxwoods), so 200 dollars is a great deal.

But what I don't get is, why Price doesn't plan his shows ahead of the time. The tickets will be on sale on Friday and 1-st show starts on Monday??? Is he nuts?? People need more time and planing to buy tickets, especially for those prices, some kids will have to save their money to buy tickets. It shows lack of any respect to his fans!

.

People make more money in CA? I live in CA. A ticket for 50 bucks and a service fee of 327 bucks doesn't make sense. It's just placeholder stuff.
