2004.
Actually, didn't he play that one-off show, the one where you had to have a Visa Signature card, sometime in 2007?

Acutally, I was wondering that too! The tailgate party we had before the Oakland Musicology show was a blast. Hard to believe, that 6 1/2 years ago?! Honestly, I was disappointed with Sheila.
I've never seen her live before, so I was looking forward to her opening. Then she came out with Prince and did "Glamorous Life" and "Love Bizarre". She looked great and the energy was high, but I expected more.
Larry did his own set, and played some GCS stuff as well.
I hope that Carlos joins them on stage. I was at the Fillmore when he jammed with them. any rumors about two ladies from southern california coming up and joining him??
carlos lives in vegas now |

We stand around and check everyone else out...

Well if that's the case then U might as well blame the comedian Sinbad to. Because he is the one that introduced Larry to Prince. Then while U at it blame Sinbad's Mom for giving birth to him. So he was alble to be here on earth to introduce Larry to Prince.........
Ummm, or people could just not like Larry Graham and be done with it.
they could - but they always go on about the brainwashing bs as if Prince doesn't make choices. I'm as sick and tired of that as some people are of Larry's setlist. They can't get past the fact that PRINCE decided to go all JW and start making crap records. |

Correct, this happened as he was coming off of his Vegas 3121 stint. It was my first time seeing him live. A fantastic show in a great, small venue. Looking forward to seeing him work an arena! |

In the end, they still don't like him and that's okay. No matter their reasons, their reasons can't affect you. |

I was there! We brought our kids and we all tailgated before the show. Great times!
Tonight was fun, but I liked Musicology shows more. Seeing Sheila E. and Carlos Santana was pretty amazing tonight. Like the good ol' days!

HOLY SHIT, BAMBI!!! Yeah but the crowd was weak!! I know they would have played more songs than that if they were feeling the crowd... Not even close to the setlist from the Feb. 7 show in NY!! Just got home my ears are still ringing. What a work out, the crow was into the whole show! They loved Larry Graham his set was a concert in itself, Prince joined him at the end and let me tell you it rocked. You can tell this concert was special to Prince he really wanted to get off for his friends. Shelia E joined him on stage and did a set of her own she looked too sexy and stayed on stage yeah! Santana also come through he and Prince whiched guitars and Carlos killed it with Princes guitar what more could you want man! Larry Graham`s from Oakland, Shelia E`s from Oakland, Carlos Santana`s from San Francisco you do the math they played they`er guts out so did Prince his guitar playing was in top form I mean he gave you what you came there for. I`ve been to 5 Prince concerts going back to 1983 and this is by far the best! Everyone stud up for the whole gig, I looked to my left and the couple next to me had sat down they were whore out LOL and yeah my feet were hurting and I was getting to tired to clap which I loved its all prt of the fun. Thanks Larry Graham,Shelia E,Carlos Santana,Prince and fellow musicians for a slammin concert you killed it! |

Don't know what side ya'll were stationed at tonight but my side in club seats were up dancing and screaming the whole concert! What fun! I enjoyed Larry G., the playfulness between Sheila E. and Prince, and the surpise performance from Carlos Santana! I haven't seen him live since 1986. I'm really looking forward to Wednesday's concert (hopefully they will adjust the sound by then so it doesn't drown out the vocals). Enjoyed Dreamer as an encore...but what was the song right before it? For the life of me, I couldn't place it... its amazing this show sold out so quickly....LiveNation is very impressed with that. I think Prince has some kind of psychic powers lol. With just barely a couple of days notice Prince gave & he has almost sold out Wednesday to.... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! Exactly! Prince even referenced that on stage "...and they said we couldn't sell this place out..." It's cool to know he can still large venues out in such short notice...he knows we love him! |

I don't know where you sat but everyone on my side was killin' it - dancin' - shouting - singin'....however, I did notice in the pics I took - the crowd in background looked like sleepers; must be the side you were on. I don't know what was goin' on there, but I think I'm going to edit them out of the photos. |

Nice generalization, but you're wrong.
The crowd was going WILD. More so than the London crowd at least. We had Row 229 seats, and after a few $10 beers ( ) we both left for the bathroom. As we b-lined towards the men's room, some Oracle worker stopped me and said "you guys want better seats?" and gave me a pair of Sec. 101 Row 6 seats!! We walked halfway around the stadium to get to our seats, down past some plush red club room, and BAM, right near the right side of the stage.

Maybe they're just too stoned to move around much? Where I was sitting there were lots of people dancing. I was screaming a lot. I thought the crowd was awesome. Great mix of people! |

Man, I'm telling you... P wasn't feeling the crowd last night... didn't even play the piano in the way I believe he intended to... look at the Feb. 7 show setlist, a piano medley and more hits from 1999/PR era... also didn't even bring any folks on stage like he always usully does! I'll be there for the next 2 shows, though, and I'm hoping for some more nice suprises!! ..."think from a positive place, and eliminate the negative fate"... |

After the Adore encore the crowd was deafening LOUD!!!!!! One of the loudest I have ever heard. After Dreamer, I think most thought it was over for sure and after 3-4 encores....were ready to head for the exits.
OF course, we were a little disappointed when those house lights went up [Edited 2/22/11 18:52pm] "Paisley Park is in your Heart" |
