I'll be there!! Going to travel to NC for all 3 concerts. I cannot wait!!! I have been waiting for him to do a string of shows with some advance notice. This man is going to break me yet! lol I hope everything is easy to find, I've never been to NC!! I'm so excited!

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Probably me too.

Now, IF I could only find Russell Hollifield.

Does anyone know if he still lives over that way near Winston Salem?

Driving Up from the Orlando Area. Other than Lakeland a few times, I do not believe Prince has ever played Orlando. He played my hometown of Tallahassee on 1999 and PR, but not Orlando. I would have to think Orlando is the largest US city that he has never played. Gonna try to make all 6 N&S Carolina shows without my credit score dropping to 600!@

Hopefully I'll be coming in from Richmond Va. It all depends on when the concert starts. I can't leave Richmond until a little after 3pm. I really hope it all works out some how.

You should be fine to leave Richmond at 3, or 4 really. I drive from Richmond to Boone, NC a lot and can make it to Gboro in about 3.5 hrs. Prince didnt go onstage until about 9pm in NYC.

Well, just got my tickets for Greensboro on Ticketmaster and that was a little frustrating. I badly misjudged what the pricing rationale would be for the tickets and spent several minutes having to re-search for new tickets using different parameters.

I knew I couldn't afford the VIP or floor seating, which I had assumed would be the most expensive--the $219 and $119 respectively--and had read good things here about seating on the lower level, which actually gave you a good view of the entire stage. I had guessed the lower level would be the $79 tickets, since I thought all of the most expensive would probably be on the floor in front of the stage--I was wrong.

For my first ticket search I designated the $79 price and then clicked "Best Available," which turned up seats on the floor right behind the "Circle" part of the symbol--but I didn't want to be back there b/c I had heard that P spends most of his time in the "key" part of the symbol. So I re-searched again, specifying the section this time--"lower level"--and then got really nice seats in front of the stage--but they were $219!! In other words, the floor, lower, and upper-level seating areas don't seem to correspond clearly to any specific price point. (Which begs the question of why Ticketmaster would use that rubric for ticket searches!) So then I searched a third time, selecting the desired price again, and this time Ticketmaster took a LOOOONG time thinking about it, at which point I was jumping up and down in my seat.

Turns out I got fourth row in the upper-level, at the exact midpoint of the symbol and arena. I have no idea if these seats will be good or not, but oh well. I suppose at the very least I should be able to see the entire stage.

So, for those of you who are going to search for tickets at future shows, I don't know what advice to give you. I guess if money is no object, then it's easy--plug in the highest price and go for it. But if it is, then I guess you should just put in your price and then just choose whatever shows up first, regardless of where they end up being around the Symbol, b/c it may take SEVERAL more tries' worth to nab tickets if you go back and re-search!!!

Amen to that.

Sad story: Got 4th row tickets thanks to the NPGMC to see Prince in Baltimore on the Hit N' Run tour in 2000, I think. For some reason it still didn't seem nearly as close as I thought it would.

Next week, I had my regular eye exam--turns out I needed glasses! Probably the best seats I'll ever have and the man was still fuzzy b/c I didn't know I couldn't see! biggrin

I'll be there in section C single digit row. After the frustration with Ticketmaster from the 10:00 sales, I could've been in the parking lot. I'm not complaining though. I remember being 9 yrs old & standing outside for Rhythm Nation tix in 1990...internet what?

Totally interested in an org invasion! Let's do this!

I purchased my tickets through Ticketmaster this afternoon. I am not concerned about what section I'm in this time (section 221) because I paid more for my tickets when I went to NJ in Dec. and NY in Feb. and I wasn't too impressed with the view. Especially after hearing of people who paid for the cheapest ticket and they got moved into the same section and/or in front of me (Dec. 15th). This time I'm just going to enjoy being in the same building with Prince! lol

Greensboro, here I come. biggrin
