Uhhh, Cyndi Lauper because she already blew the roof off the Garden at the end of the show last night. She'd be awesome I really don't want to see the same opening acts again. They were all good but no.

Exactly 3 years ago today I saw Morris Day & The Time at Mohegan Sun, it was a fantastic performance. Morris still had the same stage presence as he did back in the Purple Rain days, although he changed some of the lyrics around because he's been happily married for 21 years. He introduced his wife who was in the audience, it was a classy touch.

Beck ...... saw him in Manchester, UK 4 years ago, he was tremendous, I think him and Prince would kick a serious groove.

I'd also really like to see him work with Heaven 17, they produced some great music in the early 80's, the Penthouse and Pavement album came out the same year as controversy and has a feel/sound similar to controversy/1999, I think they'd be great producers for Prince, having produced great work with Tina Turner and Terence Trent D'arby.

I'd LOVE to see more of just Prince this time. (I pretty much missed all of Mint Condition's performance due to the crazy bus driver I was dealing w/. He kept taking these alternative routes which could have caused me to miss Prince if I didn't decide to walk 12+ blocks at the last minute. I'm not rushing to get into MSG this time though...gotta leave a little bit earlier when I head down to NYC.)

i'd rather see Prince for 3 hours rather than an opening act or 2. he has ~plenty~ of hits 2 fill 3 hours.

The Time would be hot altho I doubt it.

Lenny would be awesome as well, but for some reason I don´t see Lenny as anyone´s "opening act". I know P said that these folks would be playing WITH him but that hasn´t happened for everyone. Tho I know there are some songs that Lenny and P could do together that would have MSG smoking!

I know right!? The snow didn't help at all! I was a mental wreck on the 29th. Since it was my first time seeing Prince, I really didn't want to miss the show. I've been waiting my whole life to see Prince. There was so many detours on the road. The street that we usually take to get into NYC was blocked off and my mom had to make a few u-turns. Plus, she and I left later than I wanted us to. When I heard on the radio that the Lincoln Tunnel was backed up for one hr. I almost lost it. Thank god by the time we caught the shuttle bus which was around 6:30pm, the tunnel was only backed up for twenty mins. this time. I still didn't get into NYC until around 7:30 ish. It probably would have been about 8 pm by the time we got there if I didn't decide at the last minute to just walk to MSG instead. I've been in jams like this before going to shows, running like my life depended on it (and always making it on time by the grace of god), but w/ Prince I felt like I was NEVER going to make it to MSG to see him. Everything that could possibly go wrong pretty much did. My mom had to reassure me that we would get to see Prince.

I don't care who it is, unless it's the original TIME as long as there is only one act and they are done by 8:15 so we can have a long, full show for his last one here. No cutting it short because of a curfew.

yeah i'd wanna see jerome dancing and prince come out with them to do the latest fashion.

the times got alot of good songs so if its them they should be the onlu opener. if its true about cyndi lauper i doubt she's play 2 or 3 songs.

one thing about these opening acts. short but sweet and prince has the best set of roadies and stage crew for sure. i've been to many shows and they take FOREVER in between acts. i'm impressed
