Nice find. Tickets apparently go on sale on Friday. Single tickets are $1,500 - it is a benefit concert. Similar to what was done out in the Hamptons (new york) a few years back. The Hotel Gansevort show in NY had similarly priced tickets for 8pm... then he did a midnight show (which was announced much later) for $300/ticket.

$1500 puts me in the cheap section? Can't laugh at Texas anymore. They doing it Cowboy Big! Bless their heart. I knew I shoulda been an Oil Tycoon! I'll roll into town for Super Bowl festivities and hope for an aftershow. It would be nice to have some real fans in the tent. Someone has to tell these people what song is playing. since Run & Them were saying "Here we go"

Obviously, this is not an event for the casual fan. This is a grand fundraiser and it's for the big pockets. Every concert is not going to be for the casual fan.

well, it is super bowl week. it's high end, but the high rollers, celebrities, athletes, they all will be partying. & this is just "vegas" money to them. they spend that dough in regular clubs. btw: i understand on the website, www.princedallas.com it's all inclusive, which means free food & drink. &.... wonder if erykah badu or george michael will be there? star studded in dallas?

$1,500...for a Prince Super Bowl party in Dallas. I wouldn't pay $15 to go to Dallas to see anyone. They would have to pay me to go to Dallas. Sorry, but I hate Texas with a passion. Only city in that state that I like is San Antonio; the rest of them can suck it. Prince Rogers Nelson

A few years back when I was in college and when gas was less than $2 a gallon, we used to take road trips to Texas on the weekends when we got bored...born and raised in Louisiana so it was only a short distance unfortunately. After seeing that first, 'Don't Mess With Texas' anti-littering sign, we would pull over at the nearest rest stop and toss every single piece of trash we could find in the car onto the ground...we'd save it just for that occasion. Do I feel bad about it? Nope! Not at all. Most of them had no problem coming over to Louisiana and trashing it so I just felt like returning the favor.

hhhmmm, Wonder why would Prince come to such a terrible state as you described us?

"that state is a fucking dump" Really and what do you call a dump?
Thats a large generalisation...."white trash" Sound like you calling all the white folks here "white trash". Such harsh words...What percentage are we talking about here?

Money makes people do unlogical, crazy things sometimes. Let me rephrase that, Money makes SOME people do unlogical, crazy things OFTEN. Prince Rogers Nelson

The ticket price is outrageous. It's all in the name of charity, I guess.
Here's to hoping that if we can get close enough to the tent without having to actually pay the ticket price, that we'll at least be able to hear the music!
I can't remember if I heard it about Dallas or Texas in general, but I remember hearing that we have some of the highest percentage of people who donate their time and/or money to charitable causes.
It's good to give!

Honestly, I don't care where Prince is performing, even if he was doing it in North Korea I would still buy the ticket and go to watch him to perform if I had extra money. And I'm not even hardcore fan, I just like his music and he is a brilliant man.
