Yeah...one of my friends was there....Basically it was a packed house...He did the ol' 'Good night Jersey' thing and people really thought he left...When he came back there were people running back to their seats...lol

I've learned to stay because I used to be one of those running back to my seat.

i'm a hater because i have seen prince live since i was 16 years old, back in 1986 and still hearing him doing songs from back in those days instead of encouraging him like a true fan should 4 him 2 express his new musical journey? i'm the hater? really? i really want 2 see a 52 year old man still singing songs that he wrote when he was 24 years old? hmmmm let's think about this ..should u still be wearing gazels and kangoos and wearing those tube socks with colors on them still trying 2 figure out how 2 solve the rubix cube?

All I have to say is tonight was unreal!!!!!!!! Much better than Wednesday. Those pics of him with what looked to be an empty arena were the third encore after people started leaving. Too bad for them!!!!!!!!! They missed out.

Can't wait for tomorrow. MSG here we come!!!!!!

L4, if he's playing in an arena, it's obvious there are fans of various levels going to these shows, so it's expected that he plays some of those classics/hits, mixed in with recent and new material, to please fans from all those levels. You have to remember, it was the fans who made many of those songs hits, and turned them into classics, when they ran out and purchased them. So what's the problem that he plays some of those classics, when it's many of the fans who attend these arena shows and o expect to hear him play some of them? All Prince fans have different tastes in his music, so he plays a little bit of everything to please them.

He hasn't the slightest idea what the hell he's talking about!

I bet those people in that arena tonight didn't give 2 shits that he performed those songs so many times before.

That's not Prince's fault he went to see him in concert every single time for 25 years.

Does he think he's supposed to tailor his setlist just for him?

The people at the show tonight only cared that he was doing those songs for them at that particular time!

They didn't care that they heard them before, they just appreciated the musicianship!

It just seems like it doesn't matter what he played, he's gonna act like a wet blanket!
