Oooops...sorry folks...I just got the word that me and my band will be doing one of the shows with Prince - in Jersey at IZOD on the 17th, don't know about MSG.

And Mint Condition looks to be set for the 29th at MSG.

And Lalah Hathaway on the 15th.

Does that mean janelle or esperanza on the 18??!!?? yay!

Thank goodness...I like Cassandra Wilson but she belongs at The Bluenote or something much, much smaller (more intimate) than MSG. I will be their on the 29th and will enjoy seeing Mint Condition....

No Mint Condition on the 18th??????? I was really hoping they'd be there, as that's the only date I'll be able to go. Maybe they will show up on the 18th anyway.

I was on twitter and follow Sinbad and Sheila E. Sheila tweeted Sinbad and said something like "so I'll see you on the 18th?" so I'm guessing that means they will both be at the show on the 18th. I even responded to them and she tweeted me back. Kinda cool.

Mint Condition? Seriously guys? They certainly weren't crowdpleasers at Werchter, this summer. Boy, what a bad show...

Perfect I am going the 17th and 29th and those were the two main opening acts that I wanted to see.

Oh man, I was so hoping to see Janelle or Esperanza on the 29th. I don't know anything about Mint Condition, but I just watched part of a live performance on YouTube and hated it :\

Where are the links to this info (Mint Condition on the 29th, Lalah on the 15th, etc)? Has this been confirmed anywhere other than by them "tweeting" or facebooking about it?

Honestly, I don't want any opening acts. My ticket does not say "Prince with Opening Act TBD" it says Prince. If I have to sit through some bullshit like I did when the Fonky Baldheads and Millenia opened for him in the 90s I'm going to be super annoyed.

I'm with you. I'd rather just see Prince and I hope that info/tweet isn't accurate. That being said, we know there will be guest stars because Prince said it himself during the press conference, and we know who the guest stars will be, just not who's on which date yet. I'm also not convinced that they will be opening acts, rather then guests who join him onstage in mid show :\

God, those acts are so boring.

every time I've seen then live, and I've seen them quie a bit, they are fantastic. I keep saying that that summer show was probably just a bad night. Give them a chance.

And as for the opening acts or whatever, we should expect that. I mean the man did say it's Prince with special guests. This is not a surprise.

If people are paying up to $500 for a ticket to see Prince, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Livenation or Prince to keep people informed. I think that would be the professional thing to do.

janelle tweeted about playing live with prince and stevie wonder. is she opening for stevie wonder or did she leak a surprise appearance at a prince show of him???
