Glastonbury 2011

Prince has apparently been signed up (at last!) to play Glasto next year, according to UK tabloid The Sun. This culminates several years of rumours that he would perform there.

However next June is a long way away yet, so I suppose it is still a wait and see. And the tickets have already sold out on a paid-deposit basis...

I hope during that visit he'll fix the huge disappointment caused by cancelled shows in Finland. A great place to do that would be a Pori Jazz festival in July. smile A classic festival, indeed!

If ur right...then thank goodness...I think some of us would prefer a more classy joint than Glastonbury...we fans aren't gettin' any younger and prefer the warmth and intimacy of an indoor venue...wellies n mud do not appeal! x

Just a minute! As a 51 year old fan, with tickets to Glastonbury 2011, who's really looking forward to wellies and mud (a bit of sun would be nice too) - I really, really hope Prince will be there!! Will only believe it when I see it though lol.

I too would have always favoured an indoor venue (after a terrible experience at Wembley Stadium in the 90s), I gave in and booked tickets to Arras though, and had the most magical trip to France - this made me realise that I had to stop being so narrow minded and go with the flow!!

So, am hoping HE will be there, but if not - I'm sure we will have a fabulous time - will let you all know late June 2011 !!!!

Ultimately does it matter to anyone? Tickets are sold, more usually become available. If you like festivals then it's the big one. So many great musicians and experiences that whether Prince headlines for an hour or not doesn't really matter to the glasto crowd. They're in it for the experience and fun.
