I suddenly remember the message 'See You Soon' on the sidesreens after the Werchter show. It didn't make sense then but it sure does now!

Do you guess he will perform the Netherlands again?

Nope. I know he won't. This was called a BeNeLux exclusive again...

And you believe everything they say? Remember how Arras, Werchter and Rosklide were going to be the only three concerts this summer?

The Antwerp concert is being advertised in todays Volkskrant newspaper in Holland.

The only 'festival' shows, and then they changed their minds? I have to take info for true until proven otherwise.l And extra sources help to decide that...

Does anyone know if the age restriction mentioned in this thread: http://prince.org/msg/12/344378

also counts for this show? Because I can't find anything about it on the Sportpaleis website.

It is used in the context of the Norway show, but I can't be sure enough...

You mean you're gonna actually hear what we play tonight? You're not gonna make up the notes in your mind?

Start of ticket sales for Prince concert postponed!

Ticket sales for the Prince concert on October 26th at the Antwerp Sportpaleis will NOT be starting on Friday morning October 1st at 9am. However, it is possible to register your email address. When the definitive starting time for ticket sales is established, you will receive an email containing this information.

Ticket sales are being postponed for reasons to do with production. The concert production team are making some last minute changes to the technical lay-out of the venue. As a result, the organisers have no choice but to postpone ticket sales until production has been finalised.

The Belgian concert is part of a European tour, stopping off in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Italy. The date for the Antwerp concert, October 26th, is certainly not under any threat. Prince fans will have to show a little bit extra patience, but it will definitely be worth the wait! The organisers apologise for any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, in the Netherlands:

"...Dear Prince Fan,

Due to productional issues, the start of the tickets for the confirmed concert of Prince on October 26 at the Sportpaleis has been postponed. If you leave your e-mail address here, you will be informed about the new date when this concert will go on sale..."

What do you mean it's not in the computer?

The Sportpaleis is located in Belgium as is the teleticketservice.

Is there a need to understand?
You just notice some hiccups in an otherwise painless process.
Unprofessionalism could be a cause, but does it matter?
Please relax and enjoy the wait for the presale.
For the nextfew days there is no technical reason why we should worry or expect any haste.

Do not be afraid.
Relax. There is no reasopn to worry.
All is OK.
There is plenty of time to do an announcement, an actual presale and to print your tickets.

Then drive or buy blindly if you dare to take the risk.
Maybe find a flight with decent cancellation fee?

Yes...

So the question of the day is: Is there any real chance of the Antwerp gig taking place on the 26th or is it just fear of the 'cancelled' word?
Why not get over it and be done with it?

Or is it just a feeling you got?

I mean, like Udo said, THAT would be something quite bleh!

Postponing the Antwerp presale has nothing to do with the so-called production issues.

Nor the amount of tickets to be sold, it's obvious Prince can sell out 2 nights in a row.

So, there's something different going on ..

As presales for Norway, Denmark and Italy already started before these issues, it is just a matter of time, these shows will be cancelled if the Antwerp "problem" is not solved.

And we all know Prince can cancel his shows just days in advance !!

You've got a point there,

but still I understand it's a feeling you got.

Well, my feeling is, he changed his mind the day after he said "let's do that"

now he wants to do an whole other tour, he's got a better idea.

and now it's a mess.

All promoters got the same (perhaps cryptical) message,

but some presales already had started, so they let everything continue,

Helsinki and Antwerp did hold back and wait for more info, if there is any coming in the near future.

I mean, if it was a simple production issue everything should have been solved by now, it's been a week.

but then again,

I have nothing to back this up,

it's just speculation from my part,

after being a fan an attending his concerts for more then twenty years.
