PRINCE Set To Funk Up Northern Europe www.drfunkenberry.com
The one and only PRINCE we hear is set to perform in Norway October 18th and Northern Europe for 7 dates to be announced in total so far.
The greatest living performer alive (Eat your heart out Gaga) has been rehearsing for the shows at his Paisley Park Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota for almost a month.
No word yet what has been rehearsed but the Dr. is all ears..and if he can tell you. How cool would it be to see Prince rehearse? Jamming on the piano. The bass. The guitar. The keyboards. And for the 2nd song……
Well, we cannot tell you yet what is being rehearsed and I hope I am not going to get a few purple lashes for this but we hear that drummer extraordinaire John Blackwell is back with the Minneapolis genius along with….. I’ve said too much already but we will keep you posted!
When dates are set and confirmed, we will let you know.
Tell Elin to come, tigers!
Norway and Northern Europe are you ready to get FUNKY??-Dr.FB
Update:
The Norway show: Tickets will be 898 NOK – € 112,90 – $ 152.34 There is also an age restriction of 18 & over

Damn, wish I wasn't in school this semester, I'd go over to Europe and attend a bunch of the shows, would be nice to travel a bit and see Prince...I hate that these shows are getting such short notice of confirmation. That Norway show would be nice to, haven't been there in a while... Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol |

I think it's doubtfull if he'll visit countries like Estonia & Ireland (Croke Park).
With that in mind I can create the following list of possible venue countries:
Norway (allready confirmed)
Finland (allready confirmed)
Denmark (rumoured)
Sweden
The UK (maybe two diferent venues spread in the country?)
Scotland
other great possibilities:
The Netherlands (please, please, please)(earlier rumoured)
Germany (again?)
And we still have the concertrumour of Prince playing in Croatia (Zagreb) |

Where is the Finnish presale info?
Denmark (rumoured)
Details?
The Netherlands (please, please, please)(earlier rumoured)
Why? Wasn't Werchter great enough?
There even was an aftershow in Brussels!

Great, but not enough for me. And Werchter is Belgium, not The Netherlands

Denmark was very much rumoured ealier on, that's why I suggest it as a possible venue. I'm not suggesting it as a confirmed date.
I thought I'd read the Helsinki date on DrFunkenberry, but I was wrong for that. I hope it will be online soon.
The Netherlands would also be great, I enjoyed Werchter very much.
But are you suggesting you wouldn't go again all because he did Werchter in july (+ aftershow)?

So glad he got a decent drummer back on board. Flame away but Cora never did do it 4 me. I am hoping Rhonda is also back, I reckon Josh is also gone for these shows. I do not think the UK will be visited in this string of dates. [Edited 9/26/10 4:04am] |

Please do not say that Belgium is too far away.
If it is not enough you can travel.
As many of us did.

There is some 'Gray Area' to keep an eye on.
It's more likely for him to visit these countries then to visit Iceland for the first time, if I understand what you're suggesting. |

Well I never considered UK or Ireland to be in Northern Europe.
Not sure that Wiki entry is correct.
Fingers crossed for some UK dates. Doubt he will ever set foot in Ireland again!

Exactly. Thats why i dont think he will play UK. I could be completely wrong, i just think maybe he's trying to share the funk around. Perhaps he thinks the UK had its turn in 2007. just thinking out loud. |

And for the most Americans (USA) is Switzerland and Sweden the same country |

Hope he brings a new set list to Europe. $100/euros/pounds....whatever.....for LGC and LRC isn't happening again. Ever. Hot, new music please and then I'll buy a ticket to a concert again. That earlier European "tour" was just a money-grab to pay those legal bills. Hope he brings the real deal this time. |
