Maybe one of the O2 Accademies?

Also I see Kitkat is giving away £100 vouchers for Ticketmaster who happen to be selling the european tickets razz You gotta enter the codes on the inside of the wrappers wink although the vouchers if won can only be used for UK shows. Chocolate for Prince is worth a shot lol lol

My bets are on Manchester Apollo. Its an intimate venue for around 2500 and he played there on the One Nite Alone tour. Amazing concert!!!

Prince is about money, he will want maximum capacity and maximum ticket prices...he ain't gonna play 2500 venues.

montreux?

Funny, I could have sworn I went to see him at the Apollo, Hammersmith in 2002.

I must have dreamt it though seeing as he only does large venues. confused

TT.

All of my hang-ups have gone. How I wish you felt the same.

I had that same dream. Also a very vivid one where he was at Brixton Accademy a few years earlier too.

RIP sad

Hey everyone - I work in the entertainment industry and was told several weeks ago that Prince was in talks about another UK residency. I expected it to be announced by now but there's no more info on it as yet. I know the venue but I'm not going to highlight it here as Google Alerts has not shown up any news on this for 3 weeks now and I'd rather not be the first the promoters look at. It's quite different from The O2 residency - 10 nights are planned in a 2500 seated venue. Don't know the dates though. Oh, and it's not in London...

Maybe there are issues with it hence the delay in an announcement but I promise you that it's good info. Remember The O2 residency when it suddenly came out of the blue?? Well, get ready for possibly something similar. I'll post updates when I get it. I'm a huge Prince fan so would not post this info unless I knew it be reliable. Yeah, I wanna hear 'Laydown' live too...

Hmmmmmmm, someone has gone very quiet,lol.... dead

That reminds me,reading the above statement again makes me realise I should go for my Sunday doody .....Oooohhhhhhh Push baby!!!!!!!

Updated!!!!!

They were cheaper than Arras and Nice.

I think a lot has changed since 2002 - Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammies, Superbowl, The Brits etc all raised his profile, and together with the Musicology Tour and the O2 Residency etc, made him a popular live act for the masses again. He was a lot more "niche" in 2002. Justified or not, I think Prince now has a higher expectation regarding what he should earn for a nights work. Equally I don't think it is about "maximum capacity" or "maximum price", it's just about reaching his minimum expectation, and today, at a 2,500 capacity venue that would be almost impossible to achieve. Just my opinion!

really dont think that was the reason he played small venues in 2002...i think it was because it wasnt a hits tour and it was meant to be more intimate gigs...hence...one nite alone tour.....he couls have played far bigger venues then.....it s prince we are talking about....but i am glad he did play the small venue...it was amazing...
