Everyone who's working with 'De Lijn' (national buscompany) received 2 free tickets for this concert.

Hi Mirabelle! I like your positivity. I´m sick of ticket price discussions. I just love HIS concerts no matter what. But I would like more people / Fans to have a chance to see him. IF HE WAS WILLING TO DO PROMOTION HE COULD EASILY SELL OUT WERCHTER OR BERLIN: He wasn`t even on STefan Raab`s TV show. For such a short notice 15.000 tickets sold were quite good for Berlin. Especially in times of crises. But many of my friends had not even heard that he was going to play, although they love him.

Olawd!! here we go again..... Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Right, so now that everyone has had a say about Madonna and everything else not related to Werchter concert 10 July etc, would someone please tell the rest of us fools what this particular concert was like? [Edited 7/11/10 17:14pm]

I personally thought it was the worst P concert I ever saw in the past 24 years. Both 'value for money' wise as the music played. Golden Circle was too fuckin' crowded.
Shelby J ..... wel uhhmmmm SUCKS. What a crap song. Absolute low of the show. Larry Graham... please put him somwhere where the light doesn't shine and never let him come out
Mountains... one of my favorite songs, completely colcorless Very little guitarwork, no piano all songs more or less ending in the same groove which gets kind of boring after 3 minutes.
I didn't wait for the 3rd and 4th encore.... first time ever I left a P concert before it realy was finished
On my way to the parking lot I could only think one thing; he needed money. Fast. 120 Euro's for such an uninspired concert comes close to robery.
1 highlight though: Jamie Lidell. That was awesome.

Check the other Werchter thread: http://prince.org/msg/12/339977. There were people among us who DID like the concert. Sure, not the very best Prince I've ever seen, but liked it a lot nevertheless...

I would wind down on the first part, The Schuer is a wonderful man, for the second part you're right, but we alread new that, It has become a tabloid that perhaps only has a place at the hairdressers waiting room. I said 'perhaps'
about the ticket giveaway, they do what they want, but is kinda said to see people winning this tickets and then trying to sell them on FB. pathetic.

Of course it wasn't the best prince concert ever, impossible to enjoy 'the real prince' (what even that) at a big stadium/meadow outside. But it was what it had to be: A big funky summer gardenparty, no more no less.
Did prince need the money? Yes, but he didn't play on autopilot Were the ticketprices steep? def. But it is what it is, the only thing we can do against this practice is staying home.
But if I compare this concert to his nude tour concert at the same place in 1990, I liked this one a zillion times more. I don't adore his backings now, but rather them then the gameboy's !
