Very surprised at the low number of comments on this thread. Does anybody know much about this festival? The price of a day ticket on the 18th looks very good.

^Co-sign.

I was expecting some more comments and/or info from folks in order to decide whether to go for it or not.

As far as I know tickets for the festival are already on sale, and making just one day would be like 40 EUR. That's like it doesn't match at all with the pricing for other gigs! ... Mmmh, maybe they will release some "golden circle" tickets for the Prince show later on at the usual 120 EUR tag ?

I'm seriously considering making it from Spain, but guess I'll wait a few more days before purchasing a ticket and book anything. The circulating info "feels" incomplete!.

Any fellow orger from Portugal could help us all with some hints?

My friend from Lisbon said it's a rumor.
It's not 100%.

Also for a waiter..working 9 to 5 could mean a 1300 euro paycheck a month in North european countries..
In Portugal it is around 400/600 a month if ur lucky.
It's fair tickets are 40 euro.
stoned That's some good shit!

Thank you, emile58 ! biggrin

So I suppose it's a safe thing to remain quiet for a few days before making a decision. Let's hope it goes on, anyway! I really want to go to Lisbon smile

Prince concert in July 18 is fully confirmed.

Festival tickets are on sales since Christmas without any acts advertised.

3 days tickets are 70 Euros. one day 40 Euros.

So grab a plane and come to Lisbon. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit.

Festival site is close to 20 km of beach line.

It's been 12 years since last Prince concert in Lisbon, but we was in town last year to watch a Fado singer called Ana Moura.

Word is that he wants to work with her.

Anyone that can help?

Udo Ive been looking around and its in Aldeia do Meco it seems to be about 20 minutes from sesimbra so it seems like the best hotel options are either staying in Sesimbra or Lisbon (which is about 35-40 minutes away.)

There seems to be very few hotels in sesimbra, I have booked one there for now to be on the safe side and as long as you cancel at least a day before you are not charged (they do not charge your credit card now either you pay once you are there).

I will now see how things progress and if I have to change to a hotel in Lisbon then I will but there being so few hotels in Sesimbra I didnt want to wait and risk not getting a room or the prices going up.
