Tonight Show 3/26 performance link - DREAMER

Hi everyone,

Here's NBC's link to the full episode of the Tonight Show which aired 3/26.

Performance starts about about the 38 minute mark. As you scrub through the video, you may have to sit through a 12 second ad or two, but it's there!

Maybe because that clip has been available 24 hours longer than Dreamer.

Both nights i fell asleep and awoke just as he was being introduced. He did what only he knows he can! wink I watched "Dreamer" again this morning, and I kept getting distracted by that huge mouth behind him....law'd have mercy! Loved the butterscotch.

He killed it last night! Again my only complaint his him not moving around enough but I know he had lots of effects to manage for the guitar.

Great song - awesome to see Sonny and Michael B!! Please stick with these guys P! Simple and sonically amazing!

That was really sweet of him to give his car to the gentleman in the front. His reaction was priceless! That "Is he actually giving me his guitar" look on his face. Loved it. Prince is an amazing guitar player, but the song didn't do much for me. I hope the full record is a bit less pedestrian. He put on a good show though.

So is that Morris Hayes on keys though? I don't see Renato or anyone else. If so, then it's basically the old NPG -band playing together there, and you can hear it too. Considering how well Prince clicked with those guys back in the day - it was his most seamless band unit - it might feel sort of strange to experience that sort of chemisty between band members again. His other bands during the last decade have not sounded like such a tight combo. Blackwell might have been a master drummer, Rhonda a great bassist, but watching this clip is watching guys who basically lived and breathed the same music.

As I always say, there is nothing like the real thing: I loved the song when I first heard it, but now after seeing the performance, wow, I adore it! Listening to it will never be the same again, Prince in his little brown outfit and with his light blue guitar will pop in my mind each time:)..
