Howard Says Prince Is The Biggest A-hole On Earth. 10/13/08. 7:55am

Howard said that he loves the music of Prince and he's always wanted to see him in concert. He said that he never did get to see him because of his schedule. He said he got a call from a woman he knows, Randee St. Nicholas, who photographed him for a bunch of stuff. He said that Robin has met her before. Robin didn't remember meeting her. Howard said that Randee can make him look good somehow. He said that she's a great photographer.

Howard said that Randee was having a book party and she was going to have Prince play at her book party. Howard said that she invited him to go and he was very interested in going. He asked her how she got Prince to play there. She had apparently taken pictures of him and he was part of this book she was putting out.

Howard said he found out that it was going to be Prince playing in a room of 30-40 people on a Friday night. He said it was going to be in a hotel suite and he figured he was in. He said he went to the party and there were more like 80 people packed into the room. He said they got there and he saw Randee so he said hi to her.

Howard said that he was standing there and saw George Rush from Rush and Malloy there. He said that he wondered what the fu*k was going on there. They had to stand because Prince requested that they all stand. He wondered what the hell that was about. Then someone brought over a chair for him and Beth. He said that everyone else was standing while he was sitting down.

Howard said that he was all excited that Prince was going to play in this tiny room. Prince came out to a pitch black room. Then they turned on the lights and Prince asked them to turn them off. Howard said that he thinks that it was Prince there. He said that part of the fun is to see the guy playing the guitar. He said that Prince wanted some kind of vibe but he couldn't see the motherfu**er. He said the started to play and people were applauding him like sheep.

Howard said he yelled out ''why don't you put the fu**in lights on!?'' and Beth started to shush him. He said that he yelled out that the guy was fu**in' mental. Howard said that he doesn't want to be invited to anything like that if they're going to turn the lights out.

Howard said he asked George Rush if he was insulted. George didn't seem to care. Howard said that he was insulted so he told Rush to print that if he wanted.

Howard said that Beth was ready to go during the second song because she had to run the next morning. He said that during the second song Prince was taunting them to ''watch this'' but it was pitch black in the room. He said that he told Beth that they had to get out of there because this was bullshit. Howard said that people were applauding him though.

Howard said that it was so stupid because he wanted to see the guy playing guitar. He said that way he can perfect his air guitar.

Howard said that the lighting guy turned on the lights again during the next song and Prince told him to turn them off again. Howard said that he's here to say that Prince is the biggest a-hole on the planet. Robin said hat she went to see him one time and he came on late and mostly played pre-recorded music for them.

Howard said that he's not going to support this and he thinks that everyone should walk out. He said that they all should have done that but they all stayed and kissed his ass instead.

Howard said that Prince can suck his d**k. Howard said that Randee is great and he can't cast any aspersions on her.

what an idiot, sounds like he is trying to make something out of nothing just for press, it was not pitch black. Stern is probably mad because absolutely no one was paying him any mind, what an attention whore.

I don't know what the problem was with the lights... I think Prince did not want them in his eyes when he was playing they were too bright. Wrong type of lighting, but we could still see him. There was enough light there.

Howard is an ass.

Whatever, they say publicity whether good or bad is still good publicity.

I think Howard was just being an old party pooper, it seems like everyone he talked 2 didn't mind, his wife even hushed him, sounds like he didn't give it much of a chance either, when I seen he had attended the show I knew he would really love it or really hate it.

Howard Stern has no room to call anyone an a-hole, if u know what I mean!!

Howard is a big "human mistake" , one more who "hangs" of the fame of real artists to can survive himself

it's refreshing to see that the fans behaved brilliantly and it was a celebrity guest who caused trouble.

Howard Stern is a dick. I didn't even see him there. Maybe the celebrities were upset that we weren't ooing and ahhing them. We were there to see Prince. IT WAS NOT PITCH BLACK! What a loser.

I've seen the pictures and it didn't look pitch black in there to me. But as creepy as Howard Stern looks, Prince probably didn't wanna see that ugly mug.

I can´t take this seriously and think that this is all meant ironically, not seriously....keep in mind that Howard Stern has always been a huge Prince fan...this cannot be serious. Maybe we are not getting the humor or irony behind it because it is in textform. I can´t imagine he´d be this dumb,really.
And if there´s no irony behind this, then he´s really, really stupid and just doesn´t get it. So people are sheep because they like Prince and applaud instead of ....sitting on a chair and using profanity ? WTF ?

i remember him, not too long ago, praising the hell out of purple rain and the batman soundtrack . i've always heard him praising prince. i've always liked howard (i ain't payin' no money to hear him though ), but he's a douche sometimes, for sure. a wonder him and p didn't hit it off .

I love Howard, but he's crazy. Or blind. Don't sweat it; It was just his opinion. And he's a huge dud if he left after a couple songs and went to bed.

This is obviously meant to be funny. I mean, isn't this his kind of humour? Taking the piss? He says he wanted to see so he could perfect his air guitar. He's obviously not serious.

As much as I find it hilarious when Stern takes the piss out of celebrities and at times Prince, it's just not true...

Prince was not playing in the dark...lol...He had a spotlight on him for the most part...I believe there was one song in which the lights were dimmed (and he did tell the folks there to turn down the lights...)...But you could clearly see Prince playing the guitar...

Stern was clearly overplaying it for laughs....

I think he was angry because he was surprised there were more people in the room, than he expected, and he couldn't get close enough to the stage to see Prince. I think he was more upset being in the back, and the fact that he did not receive special treatment or maybe he wanted Prince to acknowledge his presence. Stern sounds like a spoiled child angry because he didn't get attention.
