Cover requests for Dublin?

After the amazing 'Creep', what would be on your wish list for cover songs at Croke? I'd like Children of the Revolution, by T Rex.....please?!!!!(and Creep of course) beg

Stevie Wonder "I don't know why I love you"

I love all the covers he did last year tho

But the cool b-side idea is great too!

Id like him to play diamonds and pearls cos I havent heard him do it live.

Im not really into covers as I think really they are about showing off his skill, theyre fine if sandwiched tight in between lots of other Prince tracks.

I like hearing Prince cover songs. It's nice to know what he listens to and is therefore inspired/excited by.

in that case it's nice.
It isn't when he wants to say 'this is how you SHOULD do it'

I don't mind the odd cover here and the when it's something inspired and new for him like Creep. I love Sly Stone but the same old ones he's always done need to be dropped. It just eats into the time of the set. Come Together too - every time he does it it takes about 10 minutes to finish. When he did it at the O2 and Indigo2 I stood there annoyed that he could have fit 2 more of his own songs in by the time.

Suppose a U2 cover could be on the cards...

Then maybe he'll mess up the words as payback for BONO all those years ago in The Pod forgetting the words to 'The Cross'!!!!!

O.K Maybe I was a bit harsh!!! But if you are going to sing a song like 'The Cross' with Prince in the wings waiting to come on at least try and remember the words....If not why not choose a bigger hit where even for BONO it's impossible to mess up.

Who Knows maybe BONO will appear again at the Croker show and try again!!!! biggrin

Yeah, that's bad.
I'm more hoping for special quest like Sheila E and The Time. And a great band WITH Maceo.
