Gold circle A Vs Gold circle B. Do we have the official answer?

I'm currently in the seats, but may change if the set up is right. I've heard conflicting messages.

Some say gold A is nearer than gold B, some say it just refers to the entrance? At least one person claims A is nearer and they have it in writing?

Or could it be something else? Maybe Prince has learnt from the problems at the 02, and addressed it like this..... (with A and B on either side)?

Does anyone have any further information?

Mate! That is excellent!!!

I had a chat with my sister and after your earlier speculation feel that he will have some kind of runway into the circle and the A and B are different sides just like you picture.

I don't see how you can have a front and back part of a semi circle?????

Anyone who has A or B circle - does it state at what side/entrance to the park you enter?

Wish I could join the party in Ireland this summer, but then again, one person less to fight for the purple tickets. Wish you all the greatest concert!!! (I am crossing my fingers that he will play on other dates too)

OK, does anyone know if B has a different entrance route?

I just asked a colleagues opinion and he suggested that maybe all the A's get to sit on all the B's shoulders!!!!!

And I'm supposed to be the Mental one!?! eek

Yep! Back to the drawing board.

I still think split down the middle. Prince has got to some kind of runway. Or even better, the same kind of stage set up in the U23D film!!!!

if anyone remembers the set up at the front at either Cork 1990 or the RDS in 1992, there were 2 rows in front of the stage, this is possibly the difference between A and B.

That pic is funny Squirrel, I had a very similiar idea last week for the stage, it would be a spectacular set-up cool

Hi All, I also managed to get Gold A Tix and out of curiosity i email croke park directly...info@...
I asked what the difference was between A and B. I got a reply almost immediately saying that A tickets are closer to the stage and it is not split left and right.
Looks like its definately 2 semi circles...
Peace razz

If thats the case, they will have masses of complaints. They have clearly sold them, showing that Gold circle is an area with front of stage access. If you found yourself excluded from that front line, in a lesser semi circle, then its a clear mis-sell.

i think that there is some sort of dis-claimer on the seating chart. the seating plan may be subject to change, blah, etc..

Good point but bear in mind though that if say the gold circle holds 2000 people, some are going to be at the front and some are going to be at the back anyway. Not everybody is going to be at the front of the stage. Perhaps they separate the circle for crowd safety. Saying that though I'd be pretty miffed if I'd bought gold circle thinking I had a chance of working my way right up to the stage and got "B" with no chance at all. The gold circle does look quite large I must say and whether separated or not, there will always be a front and a back of that circle. By separating them into A and B they are in effect taking away the choice for some. It should have been made clear at the point of sale though so your point about it being mis-sold may be about right.

Exactly. And that is often the knife edge of the majority of complaints.

So they might now be doing this?

no one will know until we get there...it's a lottery!what is gauranteed is lots of peopleselfishly and or drunkenly pushing and shoving their way to get closer to the stage(remember the indigo carry on?) i for one will be sure to wear comfy shoes and body armour!

Yes, I'd say that mock-up is probably accurate. I personally wouldn't want to be in the gold circle at all and would prefer lower tier. But if I'd bought a gold circle ticket thinking I'd have a chance to get close to the stage, as most will I'd have thought, I'd be mightly pissed off right now if my ticket was marked B. However, the general opinion amongst many on here is that they're just glad to be there wherever their tickets are, so perhaps there won't be too many complaints.
