Can we arrange something for queueing 2/11?

I'd be willing to help out.

ANy good suggestions?

-Making arrangements with security?

-Fences, like for the 'normal' queues?

-Fences inside the buidling as well?

EElco

This post is in no way meant to offend the people who organized 15/10 queueing, I think you did a hell of a job and thanks!

I think you need to make arrangments with ' Perfect Security' in R'dam.

Must have been lucky but, at Dublin, there was no ill feelings. Everyone just queued and chatted. Some people had been in the queue for 9 hours so, obviously, they got front row seats. We had to fly in from Liverpool and got there later but we still got seats in the first four rows. It is all a matter of people being kind to each other. Hope all the other shows are as good as Manchester and Dublin.

If you wanna arrange something you´ve got my blessing. But when you do it, do it all the way. Don´t back out when you can get inside. I´m sure people will let you go first when there is a queue.

My suggestion is that you contact the venue a few days before the show, explain all about the NPGMC and members queueing for the soundcheck. Explain to the venue management that you and a few other fans are volunteering to keep things organized but you would appreciate assistance from the venue security.

If there are no objections, I think that I will do it again. Like I did it back in '98 together with Adam. Everything went so smooth then biggrin

I will make special handmade numbers again like I did then and I will organise it again with the security.

The key thing in organising something like this is that you do it for ALL Prince Fams and not just to get in front yourself.

That is what annoys me big time about JP’s way of organising this. He’s just doing it to get in front himself.

Somebody asked JP’s girlfriend outside the venue, “and what number do you have?”
She answered, “Oh, I don’t even have a number yet”
But what she should have said is, “Oh, I don’t need a number cause I will be in front anyway!”

Let me know if there are any objections, otherwise I’ll start designing some cool numbers again!

Peace, Wybrand

Yeah... shake

Oh, I don't mind arranging something BUT I can't do it alone. I am a manager myself but 1200 people is a bit too much 'span of control' for me. We would need at least 5 people to organize something good and we would definately need assistance from security and Prince's camp. This went perfect for Gold in Den Bosch

I can be there sunday 8:00 am.

So people, e-mail me/org note me!

Eelco

PS I would settle for a spot in the middle at the back of the first section; much less pressure...

Yes, I was the nutcase who immediately went to the back of the second section! Everyone was looking at me!

Please do! You have my blessing, we will keep a space for you in front of the row cause you deserve that when you arrange something like that.

PS Cool tattoo on your avatar is it yours?

Jasper, Thnx biggrin

Well the thing is I don't even need to be completely in front. Like I did it back in '98 I gave myself number 4 because I wasn't there as number 1, 2 or 3. I just do it to make sure that the fams who take the trouble of being there early get in front where they are supposed to be!
And because I'm tall I mostly let some small girls stand in front of me at the show anywayz biggrin

The Tattoo is mine yup, had it done in '95 if I remember correctly, I think a lot of Dutch fams have seen it many times at concerts and aftershows biggrin

Peace, Wybrand

All the Ahoy needs to do is set up fences in front of the entrance, so everybody will be in a nice stragiht queue. When the doors open to get you laminate you get in in the order you are standing and in that same order you go waiting (hopefully not so long this time) to get into the arena. Once those doors open nobody is looking at the numbers anymore. It's everyone for themselves, and Prince on the stage saying "Grown folks...running...tssk tssk tssk"
