I'm speechless! It was so wonderful, so great. "Pop Life", the second tune, was so fresh and powerful. And only funky party people all over the place. Sorry, but I'm too tired now for a longer report, mayb tomorrow.

Just want to remember the incredible "heavy"-version of "Peach". Man what a guitar! nuts

Can't wait to go to Oberhausen!

No, he didn't. And neither Muse.

yes, indeed! This was to be expected in larger venues. I think London was lucky to get a 'normal' ONA show the second night, like the ones in the states.

I'm thinking the same. What a pity! In London he used to say "I'm not interested in what you know, but in what you're willing to learn".
So what?
cheers

yes It was incredible!

I think, the only song missing on timur's setlist is ConditionOfThe heart (with the frankfurt line).

Maybe there are more hits (than at other shows) but i think he played PopLife-MoneyDon't-PurpleRain in the 1st 3rd to make all the people make some noise! He said he's gonna play PurpleRain (with everybody participating) because it's been so long since he's been in germany (true, nearly 4 years!!!) and later on he asked if there are people at his concert for the 1st time... (and there were). i mean different country, different venue, different setlists but always wonderful, great, incredibly wild & funky & most of all unpredictable shows, aren' they!!!nod
Get sexy sex, get funky at... The ORANGE Park - Funky President, people, it's bad!

Oh "isten szez" or whatever it is, u keeper of wisdom, why wouldnt he play Muse in germany?
greatest hits, well...maybe he DOES care for the "normal" fan as well, not only for member-card swinging
-im so important- folks who think that just becuz they've payed 100$ they can dictate what he should play...i bet you even would want the non members to be kept away from concerts, huh?

no, but I think people who can't appreciate some rocking new music they do not know yet, can stay away from the concert.
He's been playing hits for those people for years now.

BTW, this doesn't mean that none-npgmc-members cannot dig the music.

tomorrow i'm going to see my first prince concert. i ain't a NPGMC-member, but i hope he will continue his "if you came to get your purple rain on, you came to the wrong house"-chant. dude's been playing those 80's hits for years and years now. frankly, the man scares me for still playing 'raspberry beret' and 'take me with u', like he's done on every concert on every tour for the last 10 years (at least) and still have a continuous smile on his face. damn.

I was at the festhalle show!!! I am totally in awe!!! What a show!!! My girlfriend came to a concert for the time and she was at the front plus she is now nuts about prince's music!!!

The soundchecks were cool i am the one who said "welcome back to germany", he played songs he doesn't play that much at other venues...

Just to add to the set list were the "DMSR" chant...

hE showed a couple of minutes in 190east club and was supposedly very tired... Being at the front I could say he gave all what he got that night!!! Got sounds and images in my head... forever a souvenir!!! He said sometrhing about starting to cry at one time (i think it was along purple rain), i can say he was very moved by the big welcome he had!!!

Anybody remembers me on this forum got a white pullover and black trousers, my fiancée got her sweet multi colored beret!!!

Really this show was... my vocabulary does not include any words describing such power and love... RISE UP...

Hiya,

i didnt mean to upset anybody. wink i just thought it was cool of P giving a show everybody can enjoy. whilst waiting in line for getting into the aftershow club, i heard many ppl asking about what that club was...so i doubt they have heard any of his newer stuff.
maybe the missing of "muse" was more becuz of many ppl not knowing this song, than of other reasons. unlike many ppl assume one can talk about holocaust at any time or venue here, and thats good! so i doubt ppl would have minded.
Sorry, but i dont know what Isten Szek means...smile

ok, the concert was great i loved Peach and Sometimes it snows in April, just to mention a few.im glad many ppl showed up, though the concert tickets are usually not as expensive at other concerts. this was my first concert, and i hope to see many more, so have fun everybody else.
bye

P.S.: Rhonda is cuuute ! lol

i'm still high!
he really tore off the roof in that building!!!
pop life in the beginning was the bomb!!!
it set the party-mood for the whole evening!
i saw him in 88, 92, 93, 98 and this was the best concert i've ever been to! it was absolutely perfect, much better than the U.S. leg of the tour. it's sad though, he's going to release the U.S shows as cd's. it would have been defenitly better to tape some of the european highlights!
germany, u can expect the best for the upcoming shows!
although it'll be hard to beat the frankfurt-show!
i'm loking forward to berlin and oberhausen.
hope he's doing some aftershow!
