This time it was more of a "real" soundcheck, that is
I didn´t really hear much before we let in ( the door was
open and I only heard Blackwell on the drums), so when
walked in they were testing their instruments. Then they did
a short and very loose version of Ballad of Dorothy Parker,
with Prince on keys and Eric Leeds sort of telling the other
hornplayers how to play a certain part. Then Prince did the
Santana medley ( unfortunately accompanied by some wack
scratching by that horrible D´J...Prince seemed to like him, though)...that was pretty much it, Renato´s instruments
made some strange noise, kind of like static, the whole
soundcheck was very relaxed, short and really enjoyable
compared to what we experienced in Rotterdam ( I´m talking
about safety issues here and being crammed into a small and
smoke filled room with hundreds of people for hours like sardines and some girls almost being run over by some idiots).Nice and cool.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
