Today at college a friend asked me about the Prince concert i went to
and i was like '' YEAAH IT WAS AMAZING!!!'' and then she asked why i liked him.. i told her ''i think he's VERY talented and i love the way he plays guitar'' .. she replied ''he's not talented!'' ..then i got all heated and started babbling on and on about prince ''HE CAN PLAY UMPTEEN INSTRUMENTS!!..HE HAS AMAZING VOCAL RANGE'' and so on..
I wish i could MAKE every one of my friends sit down untill they liked Prince lol..

whats a song(s)/album you've played to friends which made them see his TRUE talent?

some think he is great but never made the effort to catch him this summer (!!),
some dont really get why we go bananas about him but go along with it to humour me, some just make the most obvious jokes about him just to get me REALLY RILED aand some just have avoided me all Summer!

I think all Prince fans have had the same shit. I've heard it all for the past 25 years. Same old things like he's gay or he's weird. I think it's because he like to keep his private life private, and the media come up with all kinds of crap that are just not true.

I have always had the weirdo and gay comments and lets not forget the "didn't he change his name to a squiggle" thing and learnt a long time ago not to bother trying to talk them round but I have been listening to Prince all the time in my office at work recently and it must be educating people as one of my colleagues took one of my spare copies of Planet Earth yesterday. Maybe we just need to brainwash everyone!

Well if the number of albums and songs written for other artists is a signal of greatness then don't go looking at Bruce Springsteen's discography ffs! That guy writes for EVERYONE!

Can't understand the apparent obsession with P's sexual orientation - yes alot of people do ask me about it. I don't care what it is. It is just none of my business. Listening to his music is my business and there it ends.

My students asked me what I did at the weekend so I told them about the final Prince show. Reactions were mostly positive. One of them had never heard of Prince but I put that down to their head injury and consequent lack of memory.
One other got a bit cocky saying 'I thought Prince was dead. How old is he anyway?... Why is he doing a tour? Did he run out of money?' He sounded such a nob When I mentioned the appearance of Amy Winehouse he was suddenly very interested.

People have 2 save themselves. The more u push the subject, the more they will find reasons 2 call u wrong.

Just b happy within urself that u have found something special in the world & feel sorry 4 those who think that Justin Timberlake & Timbaland r innovative. In a few years, u will c them change their tune.
