IT DIDNT RUIN THE SHOW FOR ME AT ALL

My point of view...for what its worth is...

I think it demonstrates how people these days just have absolutely no consideration or respect for each other and it's just a 'me me me' world as far as a lot of people are concerned.

Ok, i can understand that the percentage was low given the number in the crowd, but the force that anything thrown from those heights would have means that a serious injury could have happened - let alone the basic fact that it would piss anyone off had it hit them. If you're in a pub, a shop, the street and someones throws something at you any normal person would 'have words'. Those who threw the glow sticks were just complete wankers.

I didn't see anyone near me (in 107) throw anything, but had i done i would have probably smacked em one. And deservedly so.

I just moved in front of this tall guy so if any were gonna come near me they would hit him first

Well I met a girl after the show how got hit in the face from one, so I agree thick assholes throwing them and not even caring where they land

That's probably true. They saw the first one thrown, thought "That looks pretty" and decided to throw their own. A spure of the moment decision. I expect a lot of them woke up on Saturday morning and thought "Ooops, that was a bit stupid".

There were easily hundreds thrown, maybe even a 1000. It was a purple meteor shower for a good 5 minutes coming down from the upper tiers during the pause And though those things are not heavy, coming down from that distance and speed could catch and hurt someone if it him them in the right (or wrong) place. Not many reached the stage, they mostly just landed on people below.

I thought it was pretty thugish behaviour and did spoil things a bit, and note that we were strictly told not to bring any in to the indigo because of it which was a shame.

Totally embarrassing I couldn't believe it, found it shocking.... And Yes, I felt the show ended abrupty soon after. What on earth would possess anyone to throw something which could have had somneones eye out. To the person who threw the glow stick at the best artist on the planet, I hope u feel disgusted with yourself and got a slap from the person next to you. Sod it, I hope u get a glow stick shoved up you where the sun dont shine (sideways)!
Security have veen so over zealous with phone cameras etc, but where were u guys when the sticks were being thrown?

Glow sticks were unnecessary in the first place and in hindsight a big mistake as the the IDIOTS who I doubt have ever heard a Prince tune in their drunken lives, found it ammusing to throw them at him, and others. I cringed when it hit on the back, literally stood there shaking my head thinking P, pls dont walk off. THANKFULLY the man is a total Pro and held it down (I Dj, and would have walked off stage if that happened to me, no question)
Didnt ruin the night for me as I was on a high regardless, but made me sad all the same... Apologies for the negativity but had to get that off my chest. Peace to all, past few weeks have been amazing x

Further more, if the organisers wanted a purple effect then purple confetti could have been realeased periodically throughout the show, especially during Purple rain. Would have been cheaper for them too! LESSON to be learnt, Earth tour management.

My mind boggles as to how anyone could think that throwing any kind of object at people from a height would be "not that bad".

We heard from security that some people sustained some very nasty cuts. How can anyone be so daft? It totally exemplifies the childish, selfish behavior of people who cannot hold their drink and should stay at home in front of their beloved soaps and reality TV shows.

I mean, who pays money to go to a concert to then throw sharp-edged objects into a crowd from a great height, or on the person they paid to see, under cover of darkness of course...

It really stressed me out when it started happening, as I really thought the encores would be shortened, or cancelled altogether, for safety fears. Respect to P for carrying on regardless.

Venues take the bottle tops off usually because they're a slip hazard if ever the place needed to be evacuated. Plastic bottles will crush if you stepped on them but tops are hard and durable and are therefore seen as hazardous.

I know it was childish and dangourous....it was such a small percentage of people

I was more supprised how so few got chucked about as there were 20.000 ive been to so many gigs in my life 100's and things always get chuched at peoples heads . the prince crowd are so cool im more shocked about how great the crowd are night in night out so it did not ruin my evening cos i expected loads more trouble than that when the were give drunks ammo like that

Prince would'nt of been bothered bout one lil glow stick his too coll for that evan though it completly threw him for about 2 mins at least

I dont think the throwing of glow sticks helped the length of the concert. Would u go back onto stage 2 have things thrown at u? I saw several glowstick land on the stage and go down the steps where the band went off stage.

I was more concerned though for the small kids who were sat near 2 me in bk 110.

I was so fucking angry when this happened and I'm glad I wasnt near the twat who hit Prince on the back because I would of seriously kicked some ass.I felt very protective towards him when it happened and embarrassed for some reason too. It was an uncomfortable feeling.
