I thought watching the purple glowsticks being thrown was pretty awesome, until I realised if one hits me in the face I'm pretty likely to loose an eye, so then I had a dilema should I look up and try and dodge them, or keep my head down and hope nothing hits me (and they didn't).

It's a shame though we were given them for free and people just start throwing them around. When I saw that one hit Prince I thought 'great he's not going to come back out now', but he didn't seem too fazed, so glad he didn't let a few drunks/fools ruin the evening for us all.

PROBABLY GET LOADS AND LOADS OF HATE MAIL

BUT IT WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN

PRINCE KNEW THAT

AND 20.000 PEOPLE IT WAS ONLY A VERY VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE THAT THREW THEM I WOULD SAY 1% OF THE CROWD

I THOUGHT CONSIDORING IT WAS LONDON I WAS EXPECTING A LOT WORSE WHEN I SAW THEM BEING HANDED OUT

I KNOW ONE HIT HIS STALL AND THREW PRINCE OFF HIS SONG

IT DIDNT RUIN THE SHOW FOR ME AT ALL

CERTAINLY A PURPLE RAIN

for me, it was a matter of respect.....the greatest man on this planet (earth) puts on an amazing show, and how do some fans thank him.... by throwing their flaming glow stix (ok, so not flaming, just glowing, but you know what i mean) are these people really fans or just morons? maybe prince didnt expect it as i presume he thinks that most of his audience have a mature brain on their shoulders!!!!!
it didnt spoil the show for me either as most of the throwing seemed to go on before the 1st encore while prince wasnt on stage, or were my eyes so full of tears i just didnt notice?
but you can understand why us brits have such a bad name with other nationalities cant you, because of the minorities stupidity!!!!!

ok i will shut up now..... rambling on!!!
hey.... look me over, tell me do u like what u see

I thought it was disgraceful. Somebody (and I mean the audience, not Prince) could have been hurt. This was precisely why Popelife had wanted to keep the distribution of sticks to orgers. I think it was especially disingenuous of people, given Princes generosity.

Gety a life people. The only reason they got thrown was because people were fed up of waiting 10 minutes for a stage return! Thats a hell of a long time when you are just standing there.

i didnt get fed up of waiting for a stage return, i joined in with the buzz and excitement of everything and made as much noise as i possibly could.....anyway getting fed up is NOT an excuse to throw missiles into the crowd!!!!! after an hour and a half, im sure people could appriciate prince needed to take 5!!!!
i saw several small children in the audience, infact there were 2 little boys with their daddy sat close to us, who couldnt have been any older than 5, and at one point they disappeared, surely so their daddy could ensure that no glow stix could have hit them!!!!

It was a fucking disgrace. There were far too many drunk assholes especially at the aftershows.

Prince has been amazing but some of his fans are just plain dumb selfish spoiled pricks.
