The guy that hit Prince with a glow stick was at BK103 RowK !!! There was a group of people sitting BK 103 Row K Seats between 97 and 101. I was sitting two rows behind them. I thought they were all real prince fans, because they were dancing and having fun too. But all of a sudden one of the guys threw the glowstick at Prince and when it hit Prince, he wasn't even shocked that this happened, he was jumping around with his arms in the air, because this was exactly what he wanted to achieve. I was absolutely speechless, and to be honest, I was hoping someone grab this guy and stick him a glowstick in his a... Unfortunately I'm not the right person for those kind of things and in the end it wouldn't have changed anything. Just like prince said in resolution: "The main problem with war is that nobody ever wins...".

saw that glow stick hit Prince, was shocked and angry that someone could do that. Another glow stick was thrown and hit Prince at the end when he had finished the concert when he was going down the lift at the end of Girls & Boys. Thanks 4 the information, lets just hope they R not part of Prince.org Love & Peace. Get Wild.

If u had shoved the glow stick up his a***, then depending on the size of the glowstick you could have given him a pleasant surprise or painful retribution on P's behalf [Edited 9/23/07 11:01am] I gotta Phd in advanced body movement.....

Belive me, there is absolutely no doubt about it. It was not only me that saw him doin' this. But maybe it looked to you like it came from behind, because he threw the stick pretty high. You probably saw the stick, when it was higher than Your level. We saw the hole thing going on, from the moment he started to aim until the stick reached Prince's back! 100%

We were in block 103 Row N 94-95. To be honest didn't see the guy who threw the glowstick as I had my eyes firmly on Prince's amazing synth set. If I had seen him do it I'm pretty sure he'd have missed the rest of the show, and his memries of the next fortnight! Bastard. I do remember a boisterous group of guys who were high-fiving during the break (one had a red short on I think). IF it was them - ggggrrrrr.

I was in blk 103 row S. And that glowstick definitely came from the same block, row K seems about right. Can't believe people were actually chucking these glowsticks. Complete d!ckheads. They could have taken someones eye out, and I'm surprised an announcment wasn't made to get people to stop.

Plastic. Everyone's going on about them too much IMO. It was unfortunate and it lasted for about 5 mins total. Prince was not hit. It didn't damage the gig nor the experience as a whole, despite the wankerish behaviour from the few who threw them.

Where we sat the glowstick throwing started probably half way thru, but got really bad after P left the stage for the first time.

Yes and lets be honest, its nothing compared to having a full pint of beer hit you, whilst singing, is it? There was some knobish behaviour at the gig on the 7th August I went to as there is at most gigs. If Prince had been affected by it that much, he would have done a Liam Gallagher. Thankyou for clarifying Liz.

Eventhough they were 'only' made of plastic they can make quite some damage if they hit you right, especially when coming from that distance. I can sort of see the fun of throwing them in the moment, but when thinking it through it's a pretty stupid thing to do putting other people in the risk of getting hit. And I must say, when he left the stage and people started throwing the glowsticks like mad I seriously feared he wouldn't come back out. He did however, and thanks for that - what a fantastic(k) concert!!!!

Luckily Prince had his back turned at the time and it cup ended up bouncing on the stage towards Cora and some stage hand came on and had to dry the stage shortly after. If Sky hadn't nicked the glowsticks idea from Glynn of The Org then only nice Orgers would have held the sticks and this shameful eppie would not have happened...It sickened me! x honesty is the best policy...

I have seen it a few times at various gigs I have been to. I also remember it happening to Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), some Yank did it at a Californian gig. Unfortunately though, as much as some might think it is, stupid behaviour is not exclusive to the UK. The worst scenario I ever witnessed was in 1990, again at a Depeche gig but in Paris. The support band had everything thrown at them, piss, shit, coins.....all thrown with venom. [Edited 9/24/07 5:43am]

Don't know what sort of view you had but I was sat right behind him when he was doing his set on the synth that glow stick hit him square in the back, no matter how long it lasted it shouldn't of happened, and compared to other nights that set was def cut short by the wanker that threw it.
