Sad? Feelin blue? Not sure what the future holds!!!!

sad sad Well guys if anyone else feels like me today please post some idea's of ways to make us feel better.
Since bookin tickets in May my whole life seems to have been consumed with thoughts of prince - the highs of the 1st concert - the lows of tryin to get more tickets and now the problem of payin off the overdraft.
Fink it will b quite a while b 4 i can listen 2 purple rain and sometimes it snows in april without tears rolling down my cheeks.
Hey got so many happy memories that will stay with me 4 ever!!!
Still think it gonna b a tough few weeks

Know how you are feeling , my life seemed to have been taken with the obsession of trying to get better seats from Ticketsmaster. Have the ipod booming out Prince tracks was doing the housework - PARTY ON!

it was an intense emotional experience and it's actually natural that you will grieve..

You feel a loss because you are imagining something not being in your future.. prince, specifically.

Realise this..

Prince only gave you an excuse for you to give yourself permission to feel that good.

What ever feelings you had, YOU made in your own nervous system..

The way round grief is to give yourself a compelling future..

so here's what i do..

focus on what you gained already. the good times you had, and things you learnt..

Take the feelings you felt, remember them, cherish them, feel them fully.. they will always be there for you .. THIS SHOW IS FOR YOUR MEMORIES..

Then make a symbol of them some image that represents the feeling in your mind...,then multiply the symbol of them in your mind, so you are looking like at hundreds of them, Then imagine casting that feeling into your future like you are planting seeds..

notice how your feeling of loss subsides once you realise YOU WILL HAVE THAT FEELING AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN..

Also, notice the ways in which you are a better person for the experience and be joyful and grateful for each and everyone..

(this actually works, i do this when i break up with people)

Same here. Had a bit of a cry. Then decided to cheer up by doing some robot dancing to Controversy (Sky news clip) and then proceeded to do something normal and sensible. Cleaned up the house, which has been somewhat neglected these past few weeks I have to say. My dogs have slept all day. Perhaps they just assumed I would be on TM all day lol

I also had the TM obsession. Wish I'd gone for those lower tier tickets for the last night a few weeks back, but in a couple of days I'll look back and remember those row D bk 102 tickets I had. So close you could smell him! Hope our man takes time out like he said he'd be doing, and comes back again next year to see us. In the meantime I'm watching the dvd footage from the 25th and loving it!

well, my brother has just reminded me that i have untill the end of the month to honour a challenge given to me at a BBQ last weekend, which involves writing a song, but the way i feel right at this moment, it will probably be the saddest song in history wink

BTW Elaine was great meeting you yesterday, and all the other orgers who I got to put faces on, remember being very nervous arriving at the Pilot Inn, strange but true, but I have say I have met some really wonderful people yesterday and over the past few weeks. I hope Stuart got a ticket for the mainshow in the end, was a lousy thing what happenned to you at the airport.
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

No i am not a shrink, and no there is no copyright on this,so please if it helps, feel free to spread it around.. it's based on what people who grieve healthily do, i have seen variations on the process in the book "heart of the mind" by connirae andreas and another book called"i can mend your broken heart" by paul mckenna(which i have to say is absolutely amazing for break ups.- mckenna is very slick, but do not mistake that for him being a charlatan, he is very much for real)

What i am is a trained master practitioner and provisional trainer in something called nlp, And have done a load of training in life coaching etc.. it's one of my passions.

I hope it is truly of help to you.

with love.. glyn xx

Yea. it was on the 3rd ... it's the only night he played it at the main show! (he did do it at an aftershow too)...it's on of the highlights of the main shows for me...that and 'forever in my life' from the 14th and iwd4u on the piano on the 16th

can't wait for more of these vids or a dvd!

As for stuff to cheer you up learn anotherloverholeinyohead on guitar!...that's what i did yesterday, it's simple and loads of fun!

A5,C5,D5 for the intro/chorus

with the rhythm dun, dun ...chugga chugga,... dun, dun chugga chugga...dun dun (rest then repeat!)

and last time you go to C#5

re-live those memories!
