Block F seats aren't that bad

I've read a lot of negative comments about sitting in floor seats blocks F1-F3. So much so that i actually wasn't that excited about going to see Prince on August 18th. Ok so there are better seats such as block C and D but where i was in F1, and probably the same in F3, i could see Prince clearly for 90% of the show. Plus you're not really that far away.

What i haven't read on anywhere on the org yet is that F1 is right where the band enter and exit the stage (they also pass in between F2 and F3) and if you're a little bit outgoing, like my brother is, you could high 5 the Twinz and shake hands with Mr Hayes, Greg Boyer and the rest of the band. Not bad for shitty seats. You could even 'bang the box' if you really want to!

I get the feeling people aren't happy unless they can count Prince's nostril hairs. You ain't gonna get to do that at the O2 unless you're in the gold circle. ex-NPG members who attended the soundchecks on the ONA tour, like me, were spoilt rotten.

I went on my own & Tues 28th & sat in F3 & could see him really well. I was dubious about going due to the seat & also going alone.

I was supposed to be in row D but i'm only small & as i was on my own the nice security bloke let me take another further back which was better for me to see from.

i loved the fact i could actually see him clearly this time, especially when he came round the back, which he did a few times that night.

I was glad i went even though i had a crappish seat & invaded by drunken fools from F2 who were not interested in looking at the stage just trying to entertain security with their dance moves.

Anyway, it was great to see the band & the box go out & come back that way to. i was so close i could have banged his box, & he couldhave banged mine for sure!!!
Without restraint, thereā€™d be no hesitation!

box bangin' is the future when sat at a 'funny' angle shall we say smile

I'm up bloody stairs on the 21st, so I am having abseiling lessons so that I can complete my box assault in a Tom Cruise style. Keep your eyes on the sky at the end kids!

Rewi

I really do have to wonder as well just what are people expecting to see... I was in row D of the F3 block in the Friday concert, and it honestly was better than some of the front row seats I've had on other arena dates. razz

The way Prince moved around the stage made it seem like he was really performing in every direction, and not just popping into the corners every half hours like some artists do. cool

I was in F1 on August 28, 111/110 on August 7, 10 and 31 and 410 on September 1st, and really enjoyed it every time!

In my opinion, all sections have their advantage:
-floor: ambiance/proximity
-floor front/front sides: closest to Prince
-floor back/back sides: good views of the band at work
-lower tier: best all-round (the best the front rows of blocks 111 and 102 for proximity)
-upper tier: global stage view, video screen views, light show, overall ambience of the arena

I enjoyed sitting anywhere, in different ways.

Some of us weren't lucky enough to get seats at the front and need to know that the F1 block isn't that bad. Being able to shake hands with the band after the show and for the odd one or two people who like to bang the box before/after the show, they can do that from F1. smile

I had a great time in that area too, danced and when Prince does come round its great, plus it beats the upper tier I was in on week 1

i was in the F3 section on the 31st, must admit i was also alittle septical, as I had previously been A1, C2 and BK112 but to my surprise the view was great, and the sound was fantastic probably as we were alittle further back, row M or maybe it was simply due to the type of show he put on, which concentrated on the band alot. On the 1st we were in the F2 section but closer to the stage, row H seats 24 & 25, aisle seats where the band pass by, apart from being able to dance yourself stupid on the aisle, when the band was entering and leaving we got to either shake hands or high five with all of them, especially if you knew them by name. I think Maceo knows me at this stage, he actually stopped, firm hand shake, and asked "how are ya man". Admittedly, prince spent very little time in the back section that night, which was abit of a bummer for the other four friends who were seeing him for the first time. However, everyone around us seemed to be having a great time, the last 30 minutes were quite funny, I had a security chap beside me almost all the time, he probably was getting worried that I might make a run for the back entrance of the stage or something.

The C2 seats are some of the best, great sound and almost perfect view, except for when the lighting gear on the stage goes into action, then it obstructs the view abit, anyway, i hope to make a few more shows before the 21st, and my preference now will be the 1st tier, as I want to see some of the stage effects as well, but just to be there will be a bonus from here on in, as I just returned to Germany today, but hope to be back in England next week. by then I should have recovered abit B4 P & NPG sweats my bank account again wink
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.
