I was by the front of the stage too... think I met you (and your brother?)

Tonights aftershow was another out-of-this-world show (I can't think of any new adjectives thats haven't been used a hundred times already!), definately on a par with, or better than the 28th!! I was watching his fingers on the frets of his guitar (I realised tonight that although I've been near the front of the stage at 3 aftershows I've never really watched how he plays) - I was mesmerised.

He stopped a song dead after just a few bars and switched to "Honky Tonk Woman" - I can't for the life of me remember what song was he playing!

Help me out here - what song was it??!

He also played a Sly Stone cover...either a slow funky version of "Thank you (falettineme Be Mice Elf Agin) or "Thank You for Talkin' to Me Africa"

Sho' nuff was too funky!

He opened with "Let's Go" by The Cars.

It was "Thank You For Talkin' To Me Africa" and also "Sing A Simple Song"

And he came on for a surprise encore (the DJ had already started playing and the place had started emptying) and did "Redheaded Stepchild" with Shelby.

Just got back in at 4.44am. Sorry for not texting everything Stereoboy, but I was looking in amazement the whole time eek At least you guys got a feel of the aftershow.

I was so happy the main show had Strange Relationship, The One, ? of U etc...it was refreshing after all the shows I've seen now. Then came the aftershow and again totally different from Tuesday 28th....Gotta Broken Heart Again and When U Were Mine were amazing. Glad to have heard The 1 U Wanna C live too.

Prince played something new tonight also. It had psychedelic guitar parts during the chorus, with spoken words over the verses. Anyone know what that was called??

Was that the one on the end of "Thank You For Talkin..."? The lyrics seemed to be about slaves arriving in the US, if I was listening properly. The guitar sound on that was very strange.

Did my eyes deceive me or wasn't that Wyclef Jean onstage for penultimate encore?? Stratospheric. Even managed to watch him walk to his car and yell a strangulated 'We Love You!'- he waved which was jolly decent of him. What a night. Edit- can I clarify it was ME yelling 'We love you', not Him...!

It's the first time I've seen him sing the 2nd verse of "When U Were Mine". I always just assumed that lyrics were off-limits these days (he never did the 2nd verse on the ONA tour, as far as I'm aware).

I wondered what he would sing during the second verse, but he didn't alter anything which was refreshing.

I am so lucky 2 have been there coz I didn't have a ticket, but after half an hour of trying (desipte the show being a sellout) I ran into a very nice scotish couple who didn't feel up2 attending the aftershow & kindly sold me their ticket 4 £25. Even cheaper than buying off TM!

It was "Thank You For Talking To Me Africa" - same groove that he opened with on Tuesday night, except this time he did the full song. The chorus line is the same as "Thank You (Fallentinme....".

just in the door, what a night, Respect to blacksweat for the tracklist of the aftershow, no way i could have kept that in my head, strange no one mentions that the chap from black eyed peas came on stage as well. also seemed like the downstairs party was deadly as well, no mad drunken people, probably coz the indigo bars were totally understaffed and ran out of becks by 1am and had to serve pints using 2 bottles of becks lol
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

What a great night!

Rather than mention things covered above, did you see when he sat down in the chair on the right of the stage for a bit but still played, then played with his back to the audience for a while? There was a scuffle in the standing area, with someone ending up on the floor. Crowd stepped in to pull them apart, but I was surprised it took so long for the bouncers to react - they should have someone on that floor section permanently (the dancefloor, in front of the railings). Shows he definitely feeds off the crowd and how they're behaving - you could see he really didn't want to watch it going on.

Apart from that, wow! And the cool dude dressed up like Prince and taking off his shoes and showing us a few choice Prince moves - you had me applauding smile
