New Friends

These last few weeks have been amazing and thoroughly enjoyable and made even better by making new friends from here. Thank you TheEnglishGent for getting me last Sunday's ticket and lastnights ticket, Thank you Jxx (and partner) for letting me crash lastnight at your house (even though I'm still here! biggrin ) and to everyone else that I have met and chatted to, its been a real pleasure. I think I might have some new friends for life wink Anyone else made some great friends from Prince's concerts? grouphug

It's been a pleasure, I've had a thoroughly great time. Can't go without also mentioning aliuk1 and her partner. Both thoroughly nice people and a joy to party with. It's safe to say that I'd have remembered this summer anyway but it's just been made all the more special with the new friends.

I met a chap outside Indigo2... he ahd come out ofthe main gig but had no ticket for aftershow.. he was so well dressed and polite - I have a feeling he was from the org.... but didn't get a chance to ask him, so if you are here....you were lovely!!

I told a number of people they should sign up on the org, some of them only used it during the 21 nights... but are fans....
....Like the couple and their mate outside the aftershow...did you ever get your letter delivered...?

And the girl who had dpwnstairs tickets - I told you to try for the area near the stairs as you might get pulled up on stage.... I was SO pleased when I saw you up their dancing (and a bit jealous as I was in the balcony!)

It was a great night - totally amazing. One of the best gigs I have been to!

Yes I'd really like to thank my new found friend Maceoparker007 for THAT ticket and for making the last night feel like a party! I also want to thank Abigailj for doing everything she could to get me a ticket and to my sister mellymel who loved every minute of the shows she could afford to see! Really hope I don't have to wait another 5 years to see Prince again...it's tooooo loooong and painful!

No problem smile CharlyCharl was the perfect concert buddy! and think she and her friends were relieved I was for real and wasn't some psycho/degenerate biggrin I was also relieved that I hadn't given my ticket to some wacko, you definitely deserved the golden ticket! smile

The night was amazing I think it will take a day or two to fully appreciate what I witnessed on the night!

Yep Mace - I was very relieved that my mystery concert buddy turned out to be you - definitely not a degenerate - in fact you were a pleasure to enjoy the 21st night with! I am still recovering from it all - my mind is buzzing with memories. One thing that has disappointed me though is that our dvd recorder didn't record!!!! Just watched the footage over on sky.com though and it looks amazing - didn't spot us, but there is hope that we are on there somewhere!

Aww there is noooo way in the world that you could go without a ticket for that show. Frankly it would have been a tragedy. I think Paul really would have sat on the bench outside if it had come to that. (maybe I should marry him? lol )

At school you were crazy about Prince. All your artwork was Prince related, everything was Prince Prince Prince. To be honest it was probably you that made me notice Prince. How wierd that after years of no contact we randomly met in Homebase carpark, just a few days after the Prince tickets went on sale. I was screaching out of the window 'How many Prince shows are you going to?????' and Paul was looking at me like a complete freak lol

Maceo, thanks so much for choosing Charlycharl, and I'm sorry that I spent the 30 mins prior to your arrival, winding her up about who you might be lol I should have known that you would be a very nice guy wink

Perhaps it was fate - not very spiritual or symbolic (the homebase car park that is) but none the less it brought us together! Stay in touch - glad i managed to convert someone in my life to liking Prince...now I've got to set to work on at least another 10 people - it's hard but I'll get there! lol

Thats ok I would have done the same to my friend if they also got a 'golden ticket' offer! smile It was nice meeting you, sounds like all of you are really great friends it was good to meet fellow orgers. I will remember last night for a long time to come the journey, concert and people I met made it extra special.

You'll make her blush Mark! Pleasure meeting you and the gang last night, and had the pleasure of continually bumping into Iceblue before and after the gig, even in the car park! (Ironically, she is quite the opposite of being ice!) Its been an amazing few weeks for Debs and I and we both really feel that the Org really took it to the next level for us during that time. Thanks to you all for the journey and for sharing in the unforgettable journey.....

englishgent and his entourage - good to meet y'all and no i haven't calmed down - but i am slightly annoyed with myself that i didn't go to more aftershows - shouldve listened to cloudguitar on the 6th telling me they were the way forward

o2review and squirrel - the org's live update hero and the org's in house comedian both at one table last night - that was special wink

and to lordmarcusmont - thank you so much for the tshirt - it's gonna serve as an amazing memento from this tour and i absolutely love it

I said it once before but thanks for looking after her at that one, especially when the guy was giving her creepy looks. I was in the crowd protecting Prince from Jxx, which seemed like a much more important task. There would have been no more shows if she'd got up on stage. lol

Hi Man,

a shame we could never meet up for a proper beer and a chat last night, funny we were always crossing our paths lol and yes, I think meeting all the great people I have met in the last few weeks is up there with the great shows I have seen, but it does make it difficult to accept that the party is over for awhile but i am sure we will all keep in contact, who knows maybe the Maceo or George Clinton concert would be an opportunity for us all to meet up again, which means I will have to move to the UK unless I can hook up with some European orgers near where I live. eek wink

Peace N B WILD

PS only regret is that I didnt get to meet all the funky orgers who have made this place a home from home over the past few months, amazing that I never posted here before lol

I'd rate it as the best one I was at with you wink biggrin.

But that point aside I did prefer the 18th, 28th August and final night. The 18th and 28th were quite distinctive with the 18th being a huge funkfest and the 28th being a full on rock show. Forget those three and the 16th was the one. smile
