Marva K needs singing lessons Honestly I really don't understand why Prince has brought her back into the band. Her screeching style is just awful. It sounds like a sack of cats all being strangled at once  Terrible.
Ok. Those who think that just cos she's in Prince's band, that she must be good, flame away. Those who are not complete sheep, i'd like to hear your honest opinion. (For those who know 'bout cars! other than Lil' red corvettes )

I find Marva's voice very shrill, very grating. She's easy on the eye but hard on the ears.
On the other hand, Shelby J has an incredible voice. I'd buy an album with just NPG / Shelby. Mike Philly is a really talented guy too. | |

i love marva. it was her that got me onstage with prince for the first time at brixton 98, and threw me the symbol tamborine i have, and she sang sweeet thing to me on saturday nite. at cafe de paris, i had prince in front of me, larry to one side and marva to the other side, i wasn't sure where to look, but marva won
i wasn't sure of shelby at first, but she certainly shows off at the aftershows. she was sitting on the front of the stage right beside me on saturday belting out be happy, and i was impressed, likewise when she jumped into the audience on friday nite. the pair of them do show up the twins | |

To be honest, on the 11th I couldn't really hear them... hopefully they'll be at the aftershows and I can form an opinion  I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

R u kiddin me? Now, the last time I've seen Marva with Prince was during the Jam Of The Year Tour & she tore it up. Marva can sing & she has a nice voice from what I remember. | |
