As a fan of some of Princes music, I will admit that my knowledge of his entire back catalogue is limited, but all this bullshit about non fans is ridiculous.

For an artist that hasn't been selling that well in the UK for a while now, do people find it impossible to believe that all these hardcore fans have been living underground for a while and are suddenly going to come out and pack out a huge venue for 21 nights?

Hardly. If Prince really only wanted the sheep in tow, then surely, he would have priced teh tickets at about £100 which of course would have stopped the likes of me who likes some of his music, but doesn't quite live the dream. But when you have a briliant musician charge £31.21 (+ fees), then you are going to get plenty of people there who only know the hits. Do you think Prince really gives a toss?

By the way, really hoped he would have done The Cross at somepoint. The Alarms cover version a couple of years ago rekindled my lover affair with that great, great song.

I've really been enjoying Controversy at the live shows. Don't particularly like the album version but the live one is superb.

YES! As soon as they came out my friend and were stunned at how hot they must have felt. We were in sleeveless tops ourselves and were absolutely baking.

Don't worry about it. The way some on here go on, you'd think that you can't be a fan unless you were there for his first school nativity play, have every single bootleg and can tell us what underwear he wore for each concert.

I think it's great that so many people are able to see such a great musician. I've spoken to quite a few partners of fans at the shows I've been to and they've all been blown away by the performances. As long as people enjoy the show in the way that's good for them, then everything is fine with me.

Cheers for that. Yeah, I enjoyed the show I see. Some of the music I was unfamiliar with and some of the stuff grated a little, but from someone that likes a variety of music and enjoys going to lots of gigs, I have yet to honestly find the perfect gig.

The vocal climax at the end has given me goosebumps every night!...and the horn riffs are amazing on it!

As much as I'm loving the live Controversy, I really wish, just once, that he'd actually burst forth into Housequake after the, 'who in this house knows about the quake?' bit.

It's another track which I don't especially like on record but really want to hear live.

I´m so Tired .... allt this bla bla bla complaining all the time .First the Aftershows , now Setlist.

Shit Prince next time give the U,K one NIGHT.. NOT 21 nights..... tired of this -----

Eh? Tired of what. People who won't suck princes dick? This is the first arena show I didn't give a glowing review to. There was one aftershow I didn't rate. Whats wrong with that?

Personally, when an established act like Prince puts in a show that is shorter than that of a new band with one album, I question the content. It has to be A++. Last night wasn't.

If you really can't respect other peoples opinions is there any point you coming to forums?

Oh dear. Its like the school playground for you. "You said it first, no, you said it first, no, you said it first!"

You are obviously not the full ticket if you can't see the difference. I would respect your opinion if it were counter to mine, or anyone elses, on the subject matter in hand, i.e. a Prince concert. But I'm not going to respect an "opinion" that is simply an attack on other people not liking what you like, which is exactly what your first statement did.

The "moaners" you are attacking are giving their opinion about Prince, the topical matter of this forum.

You are not giving your opinion on Prince, you are passing judgement on other peoples opinions. The only persion whinging, is you! If you bother to check the forum rules you might get somewhere. Then you can start to lose all this tiredness and anger you seem to have.

In the meantime, I'll write to NPGMC.com and ask if they can re-open the forums for you. Then you can rest that tired head of yours surrounded by fellow fam sheep!

Na! biggrin

This guy came here to obviously try and pick on people. He doesn't seem to appreciate that I started this thread to talk about a particular concert, not for him to pass judgement on other people. I wonder where he was sitting on the night of the show???

Its actually not worth argueing with the fam sheep (but can be fun!). They are incapable of change. They are the most whining moaners on here, and spend most of there time trying to tell everyone how grateful we should be that Prince is gracing our shores for 21 nights, or that Planet Earth is a masterpiece.

Take a look at this guys posts for the last 3 weeks. He seems to be trolling the concert boards 50% of his time suggesting we should all be grateful. There is very little in the way of commenting on the subject matter of the thread he/she is "participating" in.

I preferred this night to Friday night. I was sitting closer, so that may have helped.

I can not stand to hear that crowd boo at the end though. What do these people want?!
