Got my second show this Saturday but not going to the Afterparty this time so I'll be heading home on the tube with the missus back to London Bridge for the 11:30 train.

Just wondered if anyone can advise as to how bad the rush for the tube is after the show? I presume its the usual post concert madness!!

Does anyone know if we'd be better off getting the Clipper up the Thames from London Bridge and back after the show???

Well, after the final encore, many were still hanging on for another so we made it out pretty sharp and walked as quick as possible.

Got to station and got straight to the doors for the train and got on the second train that stopped. Now, bear in mind that we were also exiting at Gate H which is just about as far as you can possibly be from the station.

So as long as neither you or your missus are disabled or struggle to walk quick, you should get home pretty quick.

Last Saturday is was madness, they only opened one door to the station (I assume this is to control the flow) and then once on the platform everyone seemed to gather round one door to the train rather than spread down the platform (depite several announcements asking people to do so). And then of course the tube is jam packed full until Waterloo. Hot, sweaty and close quaters, which is great if your with a lady but not when you're on the tube

There were sooo many people at the tube station on Tues night!!

On the two times I've used it I've not had a problem. As regards the door, they did that when I went and I assume it's to help control the numbers going into the station. I travelled north to Stratford (to get my mainline train) so I can't really comment on what it was like southbound. Our platform was fine and the train was ok. I guess more people travel south.

Very busy near the tube entrance. We waited until just after 11 but Prince didn't reappear (and it's past the licenced hour). Was a bit worrying all the people trying to get in the 1 door, and if anyone had tripped at the bottom of the escalator then that would have been bad. As it was though it seemed to flow ok and we got on the southbound tube. Missed the 23:40 from London Bridge though.

caught the tube on the 3rd and it was madness at the tube, only 1 door open and 1000's trying to get on, your pushing it to catch an 11.30 train from london bridge mate

They tend to filter the traffic to the tube. Ie opening only a door or two so as not to overload the platform with loads of people pushing to get on at the same time. Also if you are unlucky the tubes are quite full anyway so not many can get on.

Hint, as you get towards the door to the station go the most outside of the queue rather then the middle. You just walk straight in.

The que scarred me...decided to flag a taxi (i hate being packed like a sardine) ..worked got one yep expensive but hassle free!

Thanks for the info guys and gals...our last train is at 12:20 so I think I might grab a beer and wait for the crowds to subside rather than rush for the 11:30 train...see how it goes though.

Basically, it depends where you're sitting because that affects how fast you leave - the main exit is the only one that you can go out at so if you're in, say, block 106 and that side of the arena you'll be fine. If you're at the other end (behind the symbol or around it) you'll have to walk all the way round the venue, which takes forever.

I was in 104 and got out fast, but the other night I was in E1 and it was rammed. There's nothing you can do to get out faster, esp if some leave and you wait to see if there's an extra encore as there was on Tuesday.
