Moan Moan Moan! I have been a Prince fan since Purple Rain & August the 3rd was the first time I had seen him. I can't not believe the amount on negitivity on here regarding the gigs etc. 1/ For £31.21 it was a bloody bargin now matter where you were sitting & what he played. I was in block 118 & in the 3rd row & the sound was excellent but I agree with a few on here that it was a bit dark at times. 2/ If you are moaning about where you were sitting you should have been a bit quicker in getting your tickets (plenty of nights to choose from) 3/ IF (I say IF as I dont know) it is stated on the 'aftershow' tickets that Prince & the band will play at the aftershow & then doesn't turn up stop moaning & take this up with the promoter! Maybe if they did originaly agree to play then maybe they should have put out a statement & offered a refund to those who dont want to chance it. 4/ If it doesnt state for sure that he was gonna play then stop moaning! Sorry rant over! [Edited 8/12/07 12:34pm]

Er, Foxylady.....you're maybe right about the moaning but;
1 Not everyone paid 31;21 for their tickets...the Ticketmaster system is highly unfair. 2. I booked my tickets for August 4th on the first day; got crappy 401 tickets only to buy better tickets on August 3 ( block C flloor!!) for the same price!!); being '" quick" didn't necessarily mean better tickets! 3. I didn't bother with the aftershows but not everyone is as rich as you (apparently!) and the monet spent by many was spent in ignorance of what you were truly getting. I'm sorry, you would complain if Boots sold you "Panthène shampoo" at five pounds only really to provide you with a "Basics" product worth two pounds. Glad You enjoyed the show but at least be sympathetic to others. Rain is wet.................

You are just being stupid there - I meant if the ticket was £65 I would have thought it was well worth it 2/ It is ALWAYS a case of first come first served on ALL gig tickets & trsut me I go to loads each year! 3/ AS RICH AS ME??? WTF???? Did I say I went? And where did it say I have a lot of money???? [Edited 8/12/07 13:08pm]

If you had taken time to really read my response ( and the scores of others on this site) you would see that what you're saying is not true;
31;21 for 4th floor 401 in May and then I can get block C for 31;21 one day before the gig?? Again glad you're happy..... Rain is wet.................

No, you got that completely wrong. In this instance the tickets were practically sold in reverse order, and this has been discussed here ad nauseum for the last 2 months. I had mostly upper tiers for many nights having bought in the O2 presale. But ended up going either on the floor, or front 11 rows down to to 4th row of front and side lower tiers buying far more recently.

Just saying the way tickets were sold was off-key. yes, I got the presale opportunity by having the O2 passcode and how excited I was. Went on the minute it opened and all I got were crappy upper tiers. Over the next few days it did get worse as well and most dates were "sold out". But then new blocks of tickets are released progressively better. I had to sell quite a few sets of upper tier as I then bought lower tiers in great great locations. And in the days approaching the concerts, coveted floor block seats starting appearing as well some even in front of opening day VIP purchases.

You are coming on here, telling people they should have been quicker getting better seats, when the majority of people here got pre sale advanced tickets and still got shafted by the promoters, while casual members of the public can pick up front row tickets on the day. You are coming here telling people to stop moaning, when you obviously don't understand the history that has gone with it. You are coming here saying you are a fan since purple rain, yet you never bothered to attend the previous 7 tours? And if you weren't old enough to go to the 2002 tour, then you were aged 1 when Purple Rain came out. So if you wanna play the age card?? And sorry, to answer your question, yes I went to every tour, and in most cases every night. .

There's moaning and then there is stating the facts.
Prince is amazing in concert and is worth tons more if you consider that the Stones are playing the same gig for 4 time s as much. The ticketing arrangements,however,including the descriptions of aftershows etc, continues to be an absolute shambles. Cheap doesnt mean 'be prepared for crap organosation' - End of. PASS THE PEAS PASS THE PEAS

You don't think its shafting fans to give them an "xclusive" offer of a VIP ticket costing £235, only to end up with a restrictive view seat, while people who tried there luck on the day get premium VIP seats at the front for £31.21? .

Tried hard did you?! . | |
