Upper tier Vs lower tier

Friends, Renato, Countrymen, fellow Uppertierians..

I felt I had to start this thread to rally all us Proletarian Upper tier folk 2gether against the bourgeoisie lower tier class who seek 2 render us as 2nd class Prince fans.. smile

Yes, they commit horrific crimes against PaisleyPark by not singing along to the oldies at the top of their lungs like we have 2 cos we're so high up, not responding when P calls 4 'freaks on this side', not joining in our beloved Mexican wave and worst of all..the very worst low down (pun intended) lower tier son o' a bitch thing they do is..look up 2 us and taunt us with their smug 'glad i'm not all the way up their' glance mad

& as 4 the aristocratic Gold seaters paying up 2 £300+ 4 seats in the Gold seats just 2 sit the whole concert not so much as uncrossing their arms... well, I say we guillotine em'

I call 4 a revolution at the O2... Uppertierians against Lowertierians & the Goldseatboringoldfartsocrisy neutral

Next shows that come up i will lead U my comrades in2 our takeover of the lower tiers so that we can all truly get fonky ... down with the lowertierians! neutral

It's not all rich folk down the front. I've had great floor seats twice now. One set bought for opening night at the O2 on the day of the show. The other set bought the day before the show last Tuesday. Apart from one lady nehind me on the Tuesday everyone seemed to be standing up and having a great time.

Can't comment on the upper tier folks though, couldn't see them from the floor. razz

Upper tier suits me fine. I enjoyed the view at both shows I saw.

I don't dance!! Sorry, I just don't. I sit, I clap, I sing, I shout, I respond in every other way but by the medium of dance. For this reason, an upper tier seat suits me fine.

I also do a mean foot-tap/hand-on-knee-tap combo. It'a quite a sight to behold.

If anyone thinks I'm not having the time of my life because I'm sitting down, then..... flipped off

Sorry, what was the question again??

If it makes you feel better. biggrin

On the other hand can't we all just enjoy the show and have a good time regardless of where we sit?

I'm there with bells on. Well, not bells, surely the element of surprise is our best weapon. Surprise and height obviously.

I'll definitely throw 1/2 of my hotdog and the ice from my pepsi when the going gets tough. You can count on Jarvis!!!

Big "shout out" to the Block 414 "massive" from Saturday 4th August show who were truly "having it large" in a "Prince stylee" that night!! This nonsense about the upper tier being un-Princely Prince fans is totally unfounded....in fact Prince even shouted out halfway through the show "You guys in Block 414, you are truly the most rocking block I've ever had the good grace of funking in front of...long may you rule!!! Mwwwahhaaahahahah"....

..okay, perhaps I imagined the last bit. But we were truly in the spirit of things. For the Purple Rain finale the whole of the row I was sat in, and thr row behind all linked arms and way swaying away like we were all old mates!! And there were hardly any bums in seats the whole show in our block.

unkleg

I sat in the upper tier on Saturday 11th, block 407. It's pretty damn high, and pretty damn scary - I suffer from vertigo! Once Prince started playing though, you forget, and it is a really good view of the whole stage/show.

It's really nice to see Prince's facial expressions tho, so lower would be better.

I went on Friday 10th, and one of our group didn't have a ticket. He bought one from the box office which was lower tier (yes they still had them), eye level with the stage at the spiral-end. The rest of us were suitably jealous! Although we did manage to run down to the front for Prince's encore of 'Get on the Boat', wild!
