She went in the first two or three nights.. you do not want to know what some people on the trains home were saying after the first couple of gigs. it was..Impolite.

She took the time to be as articulate as the small space would allow. And really represented the opinions of quite a lot of people from what i could see.


To most people black sweat, musicology and lolita were not hits. In fact out of the 24 nights, the amount of people who owned black sweat in this country would have filled 4 of them if they all showed up.

It wasn't until further into the run that Prince broke out the piano and sampler sets, cut down on the jams and the shows went into the next gear for casual fans. Friends i sent later in the run seemed far more positive than ones who went early on. I loved them all, and i think she's not being unfair.

I do know there lots of people at Princes gigs who knew a few hits and went because the tickets were cheap. Maybe it amounts to teh same thing, I don't know.

Every musician has fans like that, even bands I like, nothing wrong with it, except it must be boring thinking that everything said band or musician releases is perfect.
