Having visited the 3121 website yesterday evening and was informed on it that Prince would NOT be performing at the afterparty on Friday, 10th Aug, I went against my better judgement and went home after the concert. I initially thought it was really great that they were being very helpful to us fans. However after finding out at 4am from a friend who just left the party, telling me it was the best and longest aftershow so far, I am quite gutted that 3121 gave out that information. It would have been better to had said nothing in my opinion if the info is not accurate. Its all a bit unpredictable in Prince land anyway, but I thought their info was accurate and/or genuine. They mentioned that he should be playing the afterparty tonight Sat, 11th Aug though.... but after feeling mislead I don't think I want to rely on their info. If he DOESN'T show up and people have paid for afterparty tickets for tonight based on their info, then he is going to have some even more seriously peeved off fans.

after all the bother of last week's aftershows, why on earth did 3121.com say he WOULD NOT be at the aftershow, only to be proved wrong in the worst way - with Prince playing the best aftershow ever! I am gutted!

Well, I guess he played the show to an audience of people who just wanted to party after the concert, rather than people who wanted another Prince gig. Maybe that's what it's about for him. And the whole point is that he can be spontaneous. He probably didn't think he'd go at the time the website was update, but he was so fired up on the night he decided he would. That's a nice bonus for those who were at the aftershow party, not a snub for those who decided they didn't want to be there if he wasn't playing.

To be a Prince fan - we should know - expected the unexpected. The man can change his mind at any second - last nights show was so off the hook he wanted to carry on partying and playing. end of story.

I'm sure he never thought for one second ' damn - they've put on 3121 i wont be playing so i'll have to go get an early night instead.'

Lighten up everyone - the negativity on these forums is mad. Prince is in London, our city for 21 shows - lap it up - we're probably never going to get it so good again!

We were on a coach and thought we had better get home because of the children and people said he probably wouldn't show. Did the same as Blackbird - didn't attend the afterparty/show purely on what was posted on 3121.com, which I saw literally 5 minutes before I left to go to the main show....

Really praying he attends the aftershow tonight and does the same great gig - really really enjoyed last night (I was the guy dancing on his own (poorly!) at the tip of the symbol last night for anyone there last night!).

there were many at the Vegas aftershows who didn't get the vibe and only came to see a Prince show

they would stand around and talk while the band was playing some amazing music

prince would stroll in almost without being noticed

but people would then either clap, stare at him, make comments to him, try to touch him, etc. and you could tell it ruined his experience a bit

he really just wanted to stroll in, enjoy some great sounds and then be part of a band for a song or two and maybe three and hang out with friends

some of the early aftershows were cool but once word spread in Vegas about those shows, all the VIP types started coming and ruining stuff for the real fans

sounds like some of the Vegas types made their way to London

this is typical, they say he won't show and then it's the best afterparty yet ... never believe what they say - ever!!

Sure sucks.

I'm through with Prince. The ticket fiasco, poor seating arrangements (watched him play 90% of the show with his back turned to me) poor sound and set lists, P threating his fans websites etc etc

I do not know of any other artist who treats his paying fans like this.

i was there and we all know what prince is like i had a good feeling he would do aftershow as we all new beverly knight was support and his show was only 1hr 50 mins so i would have takien a chance if i were u IT WAS FAN TASTIC!!!!!

I wasn't at the show either. The difference between me and you is that I'm not taking Prince's surprise performance as a personal slight and I don't envy the fans who were there. I hope they and Prince had a great time. They deserve it.
