Who are the Band? So who is in Prince's band for the stay at the O2?
I'd been hoping Wendy and possibly Sheila E may show up but no word of this as far as I can make out? I've so far resisted buying tix on the basis that I've seen "the hits" many times before and I don't think I could top the ONA Hammersmith Apollo gig from a few years back. But if Wendy were to be in the band, now that would be a different matter altogether...

Drums/Bass: Cora / John Denham (I think) husband and wife team - they're pretty good but no match for Michael B/Sonny or John B/Rhonda IMO. That Musicology bit with John Denham playing the bass is crying out for some funky Rhonda stuff. Cora is better than I thought and kept up well during Shhh. Keys: Renato & Morris Hayes. They haven't had much room yet to shine though Renato has had a few moments to show his brilliance. Horns: Mike Phillips (sax) ; Maceo (sax) ; Trombonist forgot his name. Maceo needs no intro but Mike Phillips is phenomonal. Though Eric's still my number 1 for Prince. They're getting a lot of stage time (especially Maceo). Vocals: Shelby & Marva King. Shelby has a spot where she's been singing Crazy. But was not on stage even last tuesday. Eye Candy + Vocals: The Twinz. MMm MMmm MMmmmmm.
