Tues 7th - Corporate bores, aqua thongs and Prince's Dangly bits! Memories popping up for those who went last night.....
1. Did anyone notice the boring luck bastards who got the table seats right at the bottom of Prince's mic? They may be AEG staff, but if I was Prince, I'd have them booted out! They sat on their stools, almost motionless for the whole show, 8 foot from the man himself. Out of the whole bunch (all in work shirts) only one woman and one man actually bothered to stand up and groove a bit. Most of them didn't even applaud at the end of the songs! The only movement was when they were handed another corporate pint. 2. Are all the public members on stage fixed? I noticed that the tall girl with the split dress (nice aqua knickers by the way...at least she had some) was pulled up on stage and danced away, very rarely even looking at P, even when he walked passed.... 3.Did anyone else get a chance to notice Prince was obviously going commando? Those skin tight black trousers didn't leave much to the imagination! I see he swings to the right! I'm gonna put her in the back seat and drive her.....to Manchester! Yeah Yeah Yeah! .

I never see the point in saving the best places for corporate hogs. They never appreciate them. It's a wonder why they want to go in the first place. [Edited 8/8/07 6:12am]

[Edited 8/8/07 6:12am] Prince was tearing into Purple Rain, taking the applause at the end and these guys sat their in front of him, motionless. Didn't even clap. .

I can't believe they didn't put them in the corporate boxes around the arena, as there was loads of space left in those. At least they would have had a better time there and they could've freed up the space for the real fans. Today was Tomorrow and Yesterday was Today...so what time is it now ??

Reminds me of the Emancipation gig at Paisley Park... Okay, it wasn't exactly the Lovesexy or SOTT show but still... I think it was an industry 'showcase' gig with a few fans in attendance but it almost looks like P is performing to a bunch of investment bankers.

One of my mates attended the gig last night - I hate him as of today - and he was sat right near the stage.
He said that before people were being dragged up to the stage, whilst they were on the floor, Prince was standing behind them and imitated each person's dance. Classic.

Classic. he did this to one girl who he took to the point of the symbol at the front of the stage - she did better than i could have done being that close to him - but it did make me laugh when he took the mickey out of her dancing behind her! Excellent. I bet it was really funny to watch. I love hearing about things like that; the behind-the-scenes stuff, the playful side of Prince that we rarely see.
