Advice for 11th Aug Show (and request)

I am going to the concert and aftershow on Saturday biggrin

Will I have time to go back to the Holiday Inn to freshen up inbetween?

There seems to be a lot of Orger's going to the afterparty on the 11th, please can we make a pact not to take photo's. I want Prince to play for as long as possible

How far away is the Holiday Inn.

Why will you need to freshen up.

If you get out of the arena after 11, and get straight to the Indigo2. You can sweat in the queue waiting to get in for an hour or so. Or go come back and wait two hours to get in. So I would not bother.

I was at the Holiday Inn last Friday and Saturday...it's a 10 min walk (closest hotel I believe).

But frankly, if you do this, the queue will be huge for the aftershow. We didn't get let in until nearly midnight on Friday, but they were bang on time on Saturday night at 11.30.

If you aren't bothered about standing in the sweaty, pushing, drunken crowd (and the view from the back is absolutely fine - you can see the whole stage clearly), then you will have time to freshen up, but your feet will ache like mad from the walk both ways. Mine still are, despite my mega comfy Birkenstocks all weekend!!!

I wouldn't bother, or just use the loos at the o2.

Last Saturday I loitered around inside the arena for about 15 minutes after the show as I was in no rush knowing I was going to the aftershow. I walked towards the indigo and saw a queue that looked a bit long but thought ok better join it, only to be told that that was the vip one and my queue started another 20metres further down...where I then found the most horrendous queue I'd ever seen, stretching out of the arena, round a bend and back towards the tube station!
Not sure what your best course of action is. The queue did move pretty quick once started and I was surprised at how empty it seemed inside compared to the numbers in front of me in the queue, however I have no idea whether the queue got much worse behind me. There was still a fair amount of space on the dance floor and I was roughly in the middle of it for the performance, If you want to be at the front of the stage though you'll need to be in the queue quite quickly. However sound and view are pretty good whereever you are.

And I'll join you on the no cameras plea. I will NOT be taking pictures. I know the guy hates it and I'm pretty sure it sways his decisions on performing especially in an intimate venue.
