Wanted: MPLS .Org'ers who would like to be our correspondants...telling us the play by play of the line-up and breaking news as we get closer to Friday's 10AM sale. Tell us about the line-up (when it starts, how many are in line)and any exciting outdoor preparation, if any, that Macy's is doing. Wether u live in the neighborhood or your just walking by...keep us posted!

ok i went and checked it out.

several people are in line already talk about dedicated

the only doors through which people will be permitted to enter at 10:00 a.m. are the doors at the corner of 7th and nicollet. the other doors will be locked and guarded. the line has been cordoned off and there are two people standing outside those doors right now (prince's? macy's?) answering questions and monitoring the line-up.

a total of 1400 packages will be sold. first come, first serve. from what i heard it sounds like macy's will have things under control, and will hopefully prevent the usual pushing and shoving and jumping in line that can happen at these things.

I would also like to know when people are planning on getting there in the morning. I was hoping to roll in at about 8:00, but the fact that a line is already forming makes me think I might try to get there around 7:00 or earlier.

Yes but the first people in line are saving for a small group. They are from New Jersey. Taking turns waiting in line while others cruise around downtown. I stopped and talked to the one in the concert t-shirt. She said they have more friends flying in this afternoon. She said one of her friends was a very hardcore Prince fan and had made it to every single Vegas show and a couple in London.

Updates anyone?

Drove by on my way home from work. There are no more than 7 people waiting in line right now. There was only one little length of "rope" sectioning off the line. There were a few people waiting and a few empty camping chairs. That's all folks.

Endo and I will monitor closely as I can see it getting busier as people get off work and such. Our current plan is still to make our "stay out all night or not" decision later.

there's about 15 people in line
MPLS televsion will broadcast some interviews etc 16:00 local time.....

expect a large crowd tomorrow morning .....
