CarrieMPLS is downtown and in line now, and we have set up a journal whereat she can post audio messages and pictures via her cell phone but, for some reason, the posts are not showing up.

Sorry I cannot find those camera links. I even called the 1st precinct police department downtown Minneapolis. The officer thought maybe WCCO or someones blog would have had these posted. | |

 Phone UPDATE: My friend got in line about an hour ago and she called and said she was #23 in line. There are more behind her now. The Macy's people have the line in check but man is it ever gonna be cut throat out there tomorrow  and

The journal is at http://3121orgline.livejournal.com but, for some reason, phone posts are not going through. Though the message records properly and is accepted into the system, the post does not ultimately appear in the journal. All I can figure at this point is that it's LiveJournal's issue and not anything which can be helped right now. Picture posts are also not fully ironed out, but Carrie is sending them to me and I will repost them here and in the journal. This journal was thrown together today rather quickly and on the spur of the moment, and isn't yet functioning well. My apologies. | |

I met Carrie and she told me she finally managed to get her cell phone worked out so I didn't take any pictures. For those you plan on going tomorrow: 1- Take good shoes. you might be standing for a while. 2- Bring quarters if you park on the street. 3- The parking ramp on 7th by the Marriott Hotel was the easiest one to park in. It's a minimum of five dollars first hour, then it's 1.25 for the next hour. The very first woman on line is from California. She wasn't from the org. Another one was from Michigan. Then Carrie and others were at the end of the line and they were all seating and waiting. I will be going back tomorrow and I will stand in line hoping to get a package and a good one. I'm aalso buying another one for an orger who asked me first (I won't say who) and I'm sorry but I won't be able to buy more packages. I will write more tomorrow when I'm back from Macy's. Oh and everyone was friendly | |

Take it for what it's worth, but for those debating about what time to get in line...I'd go for 4am. There are 1400 tickets...and each person can buy 4 max (right?), so that's 350 people....IF everyone buys 4. I think 7:30am or 8am will be too late. The early bird gets the perfum.  Good luck!! | |
