I googled a bit.
Clicked around on this site: http://www.london-discoun.../index.php
But I guess there's a lot more of these.

Get a place near an undergound station and voila...

Both Ibis and Travelodge have cheap hotels nearby. I checked both for the dates I needed (I'm going to the gigs on 17th and 18th August) and they had rooms for 50-65 pounds per night. There is a Holiday Inn Express right beside the Dome actually, but it seems as if they are charging 5 star prices (200 pounds per night!) for a 3 star budget hotel experience... so not ideal I reckon!

There seem to be plenty of places nearby in the docklands and Canary Wharf areas. I just found a place from lastminute.com. I'm flying into London City Airport anyway which is dead handy.

Yes...well i think i'll just book a hotel in the middle of the City. Anyone know if a disorganized girl like me would have a fair chance at making it to North Greenwich from Marble Arch with luck? razz Is it a long journey?

Clare

We have booked at the St Giles Hotel in Central London via HotelsRus.com for £72 a night for a twin room including breakfast. Haven't been before but £36 each for London seems good value. Clare. biggrin

Last week, right after I got my tix for Sept 1st, I booked the Holiday Inn Express, the one that's so close to the venue.
I guess the hotelpeople didn't know about the concert yet because I paid GBP 77 for one night and the next day prices were already GBP 180.
Just checked again and prices are already up to GBP 199.95!!
Unbelievable!!
I know, they have to run a business, but come on... shake
