The photo is called "Prince Attack" It does LOOK kinda brutal, huh? [Edited 5/11/07 16:18pm] Eventhough this picture is priceless and she should frame it and hang it somewhere in her house, this is exactly the difference between european & american audiences.....Prince should take notes! I almost found the audience I was with in Vegas a bit too timid.....(and that's not necessarily a bad thing, we europeans are just used to different things!).

Not to divide American and European fans, but the pic may look hilarious at first, but it is also scary to know she got that close and it could have been a whole different story. Security apparently was much too slow to react and he should have 2 security guards on each side of the stage for over-zealous fans like her, and warn each fan before they go up on stage to keep their distance and hands off unless he actually makes the first move to give a handshake, high five, etc. on his own from a fan. Have to disagree - when I saw him play with Tamar in Philly last year, some girl squeezed his behind. He then made her look like the fool she was!

[Edited 5/11/07 16:38pm] well, we've all read the reports, he was playing along as a good sport! After the december 30th aftershow in Vegas I reached out to him to shake his hand.....clearly he was shocked that because of my size (6'5" and LONG arms) I could get so close (I reached over a table), once he saw that I had no intend to do harm, he gladly shook my hand and thanked me after I thanked him. He's still human after all and the guy DOES have a sense of humour!

It's about over-zealous fans. The girl you mention in Philly, didn't have her "personal" all over his leg dry-humping him like the girl in that above pic. [Edited 5/11/07 17:12pm]

hey,
i dont know if its accustomed to talk about this here but .. for all those who were not there and can only dream of gigs like this do you think there will ever surface a decent recording of this show. He is such a perfect performer, i wish he was kind to his fans as some other bands these days are (pearl jam and so ...) and would officially sell recording of these shows.

I got on stage twice during Musicology and when they lined you up at the gate leading to the stage security walked down the line and told each person, do NOT touch him, approach him, or grab him or you will be taken off the stage. At a Dallas show, some chick kissed him on the cheek during Kiss and security gang tackled her ass and got her off the stage. That was nothing near what this chick did at Koko's. I hope people will respect his personal space like we did in Vegas and not piss him off.

I had to tell him that Prince fell and the girl was helping him up. I know I remember the rules they told fans who got on stage at the Musicology tour. I guess he's getting too comfortable with fans, but read my quote above this msg..my nephew had me in tears laughing when he saw the picture by mistake, because I didn't mean for him to see it, and I had to figure out how to explain it. ...sorry don't mean to laugh, but now that chick will be known as ""The Humper". Arctic Monkeys' first tour sold out in 4 mins. Yo...I dig the Arctic Monkey's...Shit if they ever bring their butts to NYC, I'm there because those cats are saving rock n roll at the moment...But you have to be a pretty cynical bastard not to be impressed with Prince selling 140, 000 London tickets in 20 minutes...I mean, come on...There were folks on this site that was saying Prince wasn't going to sell out 1 date of that 22, 000 plus arena...Give it up to the old man...

Although Amy did not attend the show, due to performing commitments in New York, according to The Star, the singer said she would "drop everything" for the opportunity to work with the Minneapolis native.
Amy Winehouse is from Minneapolis, like Prince is. I didn't know that until now. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

See y'all in London!!!
No Warner Bros. No recent hits. Maybe now some of the doubters will recognize that Prince is not norm, but a brilliant exception to the rule. Nah. There will still be a debate, and a rather boring one, on this site on whether Prince should have stayed with Warner Bros. Or whether he should perform on American Idol 2010 to broaden his fan base.

overzealous is the key word
i was up on stage once too but for some reason i knew to keep my distance but who knows?.... if i were female and had a few drinks in me..... i wonder if being in Sin City made him want to study the bible more.....i've seen people here in Vegas do that as a reaction to the whole Vegas vibe
