u've got 2 admire the monkeys musicianship, but don't even try 2 compare him with prince. prince is way & above, the greatest musical genius of our time. i don't need 2 elaborate on that, but just 2 say, although them being the band of the moment, the monkeys have pretty much, in the couple years that they've been around, done the same thing. haven't really been leftfield/experimental/controversial/ground-breaking, have they. lets not b scared 2 say it: THEIR CHOONS SOUND ALL THE SAME. | |

Amy Winehouse...I would give my left nut to be able to go over there and see them together. I just got her CD last week, and the best song by far is "Love is a losing game." I listen to it over and over. It's very hard to believe that she's only like 23 yrs of age with the voice and delivery that she has. I must admit it tooj me a while to get it...her sound caught me when it was first released, but seeing her on VH1 and MTV all the time turned me off. Her obvious love of 60's soul music is very, very refreshing. I wish more singers would have this honest of a voice and image, especially in R&B.
And the pic of the girl squatting over Prince like she was about to get some is priceless. | |
