Will O2 be HOT or NOT?

Are you worried that the O2 concerts will be a shower of shit? I don't really mean I have any doubts when it comes to Prince performing, I just aint been to an arena gig for a while, and I guess I've been a bit spoilt, with the smaller venues. Just being surrounded by all those fucking idiots who have gone to see him for about three hits they remember, and it all being on a bigger scale where there is no feeling of a personal connection.
I don't know, maybe it's just me being a bit elitist. just that ive promised to take the other half, cos she aint seen him before, and if she comes out saying something like "it was alright, not as great as you made out it would" I will not be amused!

I know what you are saying,..

I would be really really excited if it were a small venue, so I cant see it matching past concerts on that scale.

I really hope we all have a great time anyway, and not look back and say, oh but so and so concert (years ago) was sooo much better.

pray
I will love you forever and you will never be forgotten - L.A.F. heart

nod I've never seen him before, so I'm not about to expect PR or Lovesexy style concerts, but it's still going to be amazing! excited

Just think of it this way - it's better than sitting in the house!

i think the o2 gigs will be amazing, he always puts extra work in2 his uk shows i feel.

I doubt it can be any better than the manchester ona live gig, empty room, the ladder, anna stesia, purple rain ... i actually felt like i had died after that 4 song whammy.

I'd much rather see him in a smaller venue. One where you can really see him and watch him play that guitar properly. Having said that, it's great for him that he can still sell tickets for so many shows in a big arena.
RIP sad

i've seen him at wembley and earls court and have been at the back of these shows surrounded by people having a blast!!i remeber being with a group of people who were not devoted fans at wembley but we danced together like we were at a disco cause we couldn't see the stage very well...it was good fun.

Damn right, those shows were spinetinglingly good. The wife was, well, underwhelmed at that bit.

"It's Empty Room. F**k me, he's playing Empty Room."

"Never heard of it."

biggrin

She enjoyed the piano medley of hits.
