Just checked with the Rio and tickets are back on sale through the box office and even though they don't appear to be on sale through ticketmaster, they are.

So, in other words, Vegas here i come!!!!

For the time being, if one goes to Ticketmaster and ingores the CURRENTLY NOT ON SALE lingo for those dates, it appears that one can access the Purchase function and secure tickets.

nope- they just told me not on sale yet. call back tomorrow.

As a test, I just clicked on More Info for both dates and was able to go all the way through the Purchase function again.

Thank goodness, I managed to go Dec 30/31, have no plans to go Jan 19/20 and, therefore, am not stressed out by the apparent recurrence of more Rio/Ticketmaster confusion.

FINALLY!!!!! MY VIP PACKAGE FOR FRI THE 19TH IS BOOKED!!!!!

I got my tix for Friday night. I have to call some folks regarding a VIP table for Saturday night.

btw, for anyone else buying tix thru the Rio- although the 1st person i got told me to call back tomorrow, the second, who sold me my package was very nice. the whole process, if you let them tell you all the details we already know- keeps you on with them for a few mins. by the end, she tried to apologize for the delay in releasing these dates to which I told her not to worry, I realize its not her fault. she replied, well not everyone who calls feels that way and we just found out about this show 2 hours ago.
IMO, I feel bad for the poor Rio staff- they're just doing their job and may not be fans of Prince. they have to deal with this aggravation and are not familiar with "Prince world" and its annoyances as we are (well they are now, but you know what i mean!). And on top of that, they have to deal with angry Prince fans!

Any news on the 26th and 27th,booked flights etc after the dates were annouced, Xmas gift for girlfriend.Told her everthing was sorted,now i am sweating on tickets,she will be heartbroken if its cancelled.
