So what? There are even newspapers printing the story, but... get this... sometimes newspapers print things that aren't correct. Which haven't been checked. Which are the result of rumour. And websites are a thousand times worse.

Listen, I work in PR, and I can tell you that even well-respected media jump the gun on stories that turn out to be wrong. The media feeds off other media, and it's how rumours spiral out of control.

Please: check the sources. Who is the official who's quoted? When was the press release issued by Prince or the promoter? In which interview was the concert mentioned?

I think T17s just saying that there will no 3121 tour. I don't think he's necessarily saying there won't be ANY tour at ANY point. If you look at the title of the thread over there it says "No Tour until 2007." Now, those aren't T17s words, but I'm sure P has something new up his sleeve for us. I think this whole 3121 thing could've been great, but just kind of floundered. He's going to move on and he'll tour again.

There was never an official press release saying the show was on.

Damn! I was so sure the Greece-thing would mean a Europe tour! I've NEVER seen Prince live. I know he's probably never coming to Finland but why couldn't he come to Sweden or Estonia or Denmark or Russia or even Germany or... Hell I would've even traveled to Greece if it turned out to be his only gig in Europe.

This tour promoter apparently is an official concert organizer and if I'm right they didn't distract the news (yet). Can't anyone in Greek call them to ask them what made them announce the concert and if the concert is really cancelled? I can't find a tel. number on the web. Also: it would be interesting to read the announcement of the organizers. Isn't there anyone who can trace this message/press release for example through the media who published this message which seems to have become tentative?

There was never an official announcement of a tour from Prince or the entire tour promoter.

Remember how each year Glastonbury announces Prince as a guest per4mer 2 close the show or whatever from one of their organizers? Even the one off show in Hong Kong in 2003 had a press release b4 a month later doing Hawaii and Australia.

In todays Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne, Australia it mentions a rumour that Prince is negotiating a tour down here with promoters.
