Messages at Prince's Concerts

Last night I was at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA for the first night of Prince's "One Night Alone" Tour. And I know everybody is waiting 4 a set list. But I am not going 2 give it up that EZ. I think everybody gets all caught up in that. And U bootleggers.....U know who U are. I want 2 focus more on the music and the message. Oh ya, there was a message. There is something about hearing REAL Music by REAL Musicians. And there was evidence of that there last night. Prince is a master with his guitars, his singing and on the keys. But he is a Freakin' Kung-Fu,Chicken Grease,Boca Burger eating genuis when it comes 2 putting a group of talented people 2gether and watching them do what they love 2 do. Last night was filled with the BEST music. New and Old grooves. Lots of humor. Lots of Positivity. If anyone was not thinking of going 4 whatever reason, change Ur plans. Call a babysitter, call out sick from work feed the dog another day, whatever U got 2 do 2 get 2 a concert.....So after all that here is my topic. What messages do U get out of going 2 one of Prince's concerts? If U read this carefully I have posted 7 messages that I got last night. Do U really know what U know? Peace N B WILD!!

Good Morning 4jamiestar, I understand the limited visual response pertaining to the performance last night at the Kodak. Tickets go on sale apparently today for Oakland and Phoenix, I reside here in Phoenix.

I feel and agree with how so many people loose sight to what Prince's intentions are when he extensively plays his soul out on stage. I believe that his intentions reflect within his carefully "chosen words" along with the propagation of our spiritual selves. It is within his music and genius of musical style that protrays the true essence of his "being". I have felt his strong sense of presence each and everytime I have experienced his "Live" performances. I have listened to his music for years, and have sense his intellectual and spiritual growth, I must admit I admire and respect his current approach. I believe in the divine power of choice and feel that many individuals can gain much in listening to Prince and his messages. His presence should not be underestimated but greatly appreciated and valued in all sense of the "word".

Hey 4jamiestarr,

Are you going to put on your scuba gear and go for it? Or are you content with what was laid out?

Peace. Glad you enjoyed it.

OK 4jamiestarr - u got it man... it was the best performance by a group of extraordinary talented musicians i have ever witnessed, live or otherwise.
The message I took away from that show - CUZ I was there too by the way
is that we need more truly talented musicians & people need to stop playing the same sh*t over & over & forget about race in this space that God has created...
His message about racism was great - we need to stop looking at each other by our outward appearances. that's true - I agree
I believe another message & agree that the music industry has forgotten about real music - music that is played by the person who is playing it - 'bands' no studio bullsh*t - yes a studio is required for the recording purposes, but there ain't nothin that could beat that LIVE performance that Prince & the NPG is givin on this Tour! AND I have told everyone I have talked to that that concert was not good because Prince was good - it was good because the WHOLE group was GOOD!, AWESOME - SPECTATULAR, to say the least!!
These musicians played together like peanut butter & jelly,
rice & beans, u know what i mean!
I thought I was an obsessed Prince fan, have been for approx 16 years +, I never thought I could possibly love him or his music any more than I already did - but after Friday night - I do & I hope he holds on to this band! they are the best yet. !!!

Peace & chicken Grease...
see u in VEGAS NPG!

butterfly it is the symbol of total transformation. Butterfly represents a need for change and greater freedom, and at the same time it represents courage: one requires courage to carry out the changes
