According to a ad for TRC being on sale celebrating Prince's April 9th performance at Avery Fisher Hall, in The Village Voice it also states that special guests include Najee & Larry Graham Jr. I was hoping to see Maceo back on the sax. Or some Candy. I don't want to be put to sleep for $150.

u won't b put 2 sleep on w/ this show. the xcitement level is thru the foof.

I actually thought the show Sunday with Najee was a lot better than the show Friday with Maceo, so I wouldn't worry. This show does not feature any long horn soloing, it's got too much Prince ripping up his guitar and keyboards for that!

Check out the first 30 minutes of the show tonight... you will like it.

I saw One Nite Alone with Greg Boyer and Maceo on horns. They are total funk! Those James Brown riffs of Maceo bring an incredible vibe to Prince's music.

I saw the Hit 'n Run tour with Najee and his solos were too long and boring. Maybe it will be different on the jazzier/funkier One Nite Alone shows, but his "flavor" was not fitting in too well with the Hit 'n Run greatest hits format last year.

Ummm... Najee is not a separate act, he's "in" the band. The songs Prince plays won't work if there is nobody there to play the sax.

With respect to LG, I agree. However, LG's portion at the show on Sunday was pretty short, so it was tolerable.

According to Maceo's site maceo
he will be guesting w/ Prince in NY.
According to Candy Dulfer's site candy
she will guest in P's band in NY as well.

So if Najee's gonna be there too it's gonna be crowded with hornplayers.
