8/22 Prince ROCKED Philly

don't flame.

Being that I saw Prince for the first time last night and so excited and anxious to see it, I would have never thought it would have been as great as everyone explained it.

I owe it to the Orgers!

Prince started by playing his usual set...

Musicology/Let's Go Crazy/I Would Die 4 U/When Doves Cry/Baby I'm A Star
Shh/DMSR/I Feel 4 U/ Controversy

then preceded to do the Beyonce booty shake to "Crazy In Love"
He added many songs into the night, making the show about 4 hours. He played "Peach" "Cream" "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and some Elvis.

He did the the "Wanna Whole Lot Of Love" bit from the Direct TV free concert.
Also the Musicology special on MTV/VH1 etc..

Anyone that was there... did you happen to catch sight of the grandma on stage. She ROCKED! P was lovin it.

All in all, the musicology tour was/is a success! P made me laugh, cry, and get up and dance harder than he was.

Prince can put someone in the hospital with his guitar skills...

WOW~ biggrin

woot! We had a blast too! It was my daughter's first time seeing him in concert and she said that it was the best show she had ever seen and believe me, this girl has been to SO MANY shows. I am almost jealous....oh hell, I am! lol She cried too. I saw the older woman and it was so great to see someone older enjoying the music. Did you see the gestures Prince was making in regard to her? It was cute. We had 2nd row, section 8. The seats weren't as good as the ones I had in State College, but they were still great.

confuse I said it was 4 hours? I don't think so.... It began around 8 and ended at about 11pm. That doesn't add up to 4 hours. I am tired, but not THAT tired! biggrin I haven't slept since 7am, YESTERDAY! I am still going.....and going....and going...lol yes, drug free. More later. I think Cherrymoon was in section 2 as well. Did you meet her? I have pics to post, but I probably won't get to them tonight. I am way too tired!

Yeah that older lady was tearing it up. I was in the first row of section 10. Right near where Candy, Maceo, and Greg were set up. Great show indeed.

I prayed and prayed. . this was the 6th show I have been to and have always had a lousy view. I was stuck in traffic for about an hour before the show. Then. . just about 5 minutes before he got on stage I was STUNNED to discover that I was in the 2nd row right behind Mike Scott (who was VERY friendly by the way). I was literally shaking! During the drum solo, he did walk around the stage to hand out paphlets. I got one. I didn't quite get to touch him, but I have something he touched (Yeah, I know it's stupid). I asked Mike to ask Prince to play just a few bars of Alexa DeParis at Tuesday night's show. . .he said that he would ask him. . . . do ya think!!??

i was in section 8 row 8 and i was tooooo impressed! It was even better than when i saw him in State College. i tried to tell my friends what to expect, but it was even better the 2nd time around, and if i could have gotten tixs for all 3 shows i would have ~ no doubt!
i don't wanna go too fast, cuz if i do i just might stay...

OMG...still recovering LOL. lol Went to the Sunday show...excellent, as always!!

Wow, was it 3 hours? No wonder I was tired as all hell (and hurtin' like a muhfug...).

Amazing...amazing. Unlike any show I had seen before. The crowd was hype, and I had a decent seat (well, they said every seat was a good one). I was in the lower level.

And yes, Grandma-ma was cuttin' up on stage! He loved it! thumbs up!

OMG, when he sang, "Shhh", I thought I was gonna die. *faint...sigh* I"ve always loved that song, but hearing him sing it the way he did Sunday night...oh my! horny love

Couldn't believe my ears when he broke down "Wanna Whole Lot Of Love". It ROCKED! headbang

And him shaking his little butt to "Crazy In Love"...oh dear me! evillol

All in all it was quite the party. Was a bit sad that my b/f couldn't go (caught 24 hour flu bug!), because that would have been his first Prince show. Hopefully, he'll have the chance to go again.

Peace and b wild ya'll. prince
"'Prince is crazy' -- I knew what people were saying," he says. "When I became a symbol, all the writers were cracking funnies, but I was the one laughing. I knew I'd be here today, feeling each new album is my first."
