I think this song still has potential to keep on climbing!!

we need to call some radio stations which havent been playing this song

it had potential to reach top 20!!

its not a boring ballad like some old songs

i love the way he uses the instruments to get it interesting

Just our of curiosity, if Prince is in the top 20 of Pop Catalog Sales, how many copies of Purple Rain have to move to accomplish this position? I know it can't be as many as for Musicology, but still, is it less than 10,000? More? What?

maybe you're real new to Prince appearances on the charts, but speaking as someone who's been a fan for a long time i gotta say, if back in the 80's or early 90's someone suggested that i'd one day read : "grabs his first Hot 100 chart entry in 5 years" i wouldn't have been celebrating, that's for damn sure...

but the albums in the past 5yrs werent commercially released with video and marketing

still it is disappinting not to have a top ten thats why we need to call the radio stations

new? i've been a Prince fan since 84 and i am a chart freak! smile what i'm saying is if you know how the charts work these days it is amazing that the song even charted! in the 80's he released retail singles in the 80's he recieved a lot of airplay but today with no retail single he has to rely on airplay alone to make the hot 100 and considering that many stations wont play anything new by Prince i think that just making the hot 100 is amazing..you are right in the 80's if one of his singles would be at #75 i would be totally dissapointed but this is a whole different system we are dealing with today

"Call My Name" is hot! Hey, in the reflection room on NPGMC there is a song called "Get Some", where the hell did that come from?

Jazz

I know this is incredibly selfish but I'll be kinda glad when the success of Musicology dies down. The sooner that happens, the sooner the next CD comes out! And it's all about music.

I really want to see what Prince will do next, now that he's got everybodies attention. Prince's quirks come and go but the music is what matters.
Peace and God Bless

I agree with you in that I am really curious as to how he moves forward with everyone's attention on him again.

What does "werent commercially released" mean? I don't know about you, but I paid for all mine. A top ten hit is nice and all, but a top ten hit in the context of Ying Yang Twins and Usher doesn't really have the same impact as it did when it was him and artists like Sting and Van Halen.

I, too will be glad when Prince is off the charts and moves forward. He's proven that he's still got it., now can we pick up where we left off?
::Brother, can you paradigm?::
